Spring Attack: Not Sure If Bug?

Charles Magnier has spring attack. To my knowledge, the sole purpose of the feat is to not trigger AoOs moving around in combat. I have gotten AoO'd multiple times now when trying to get into or out of combat.

Am I missing something?

I have the feat on a character as well and infrequently get attacks of opportunity while moving. I think it is a sort of NWN bug that comes when flat footed, but I'm not certain.
