Multi-class cap bug (EE TEST)
« on: May 11, 2018, 05:10:11 AM »
Just letting you know that if you pick more than one class, you can only go up to level 12. I've tested it with most of the classes (prcs included) and found that you cant get any higher unless you go straight 20 with one class.

Slightly confused, I presume you are talking about the EE test-server? And multiclassing definitely worked for me, poked at the Hallowed Witch yesterday and got all the way to 20.

EDIT: From what i've gathered, if you choose a second class after lvl 12 it doesn't cap you, but if you go multi-class before 12 it stops you from going to 13

I did choose all three classes before 12 on the allowed witch and I did just test it with a rogue/fighter: https://i.imgur.com/A28uO2B.png worked without issues, so it seems something more specific seems to prevent it in your case, or maybe some hak conflict/corrupted files?

Just to be sure, the class spread didn't go further then 10, right? Its working for me so something else must be preventing it rather then just dual classing before 12!

Yeah, tested it and it works as intended.

PrimetheGrim our multiclassing rules are as follows:

1) You cannot have a difference level of more than 10 between your classes. A bard 1, fighter 1, cleric 18 built would not work. But a Bard 4, Fighter 4, Cleric 12 would.

2) If you ever take a prestige class you are required to invest at least 5 levels in it by the time you get to level 20.

3) Monks and Paladins can only multiclass into prestige classes.

You can see our server rules here: http://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=2863

Yes MAB but the build I went for and tried other variations of within what would work was: Fighter: 9 Rogue: 1 Monster Hunter: 10
I also tried: Fighter: 5 Rogue: 5 MH: 10

and

Rogue: 9 Fighter: 1 MH: 10

But I would be stopped at 12 each time. I never went behind 9 in any of the main classes, only the prc which is meant to go to 10

Worked just fine for me. 15 Cl/5 Blkgd (taking blackguard at 15) as well as 5 Cl/ 5 Wiz/10 HW (taking Cleric at 3 and HW at 7).
Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is hell; myself am hell;
And in the lowest deep a lower deep,
Still threat’ning to devour me, opens wide,
To which the hell I suffer seems a heaven.

I got the build you described to work. Could it be something with your feats that's gone wrong?
Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is hell; myself am hell;
And in the lowest deep a lower deep,
Still threat’ning to devour me, opens wide,
To which the hell I suffer seems a heaven.

I don't think it's feat related since I would still be able to continue levelling a non prc class such as fighter. this bug just stops the level up at 12
