The body of a girl child was found broken and lifeless this morning in a discarded backalley of the Slums. The poor child suffered a broken neck, twin shaped puncture holes less the a inch apart wound her delicate white neck. The body drained of its precious life fluid.

Rumor spreads about the La Noapte de Pugilistica, the fist fighting competition held by the Vardo in the ransacked Gaping wound tavern. They say the event started and ended with blood. In the beginning a caliban was executed on the spot by the city guards, and in the end the champion of the night, Zev the forfarian giant who travels with the Cirque de la Fin du Nuit was beaten senseless and dead by a late entry guard man.

Witnesses claim this guardman killing the champion was acting strange from the beginning, growling and shouting curses, how he will teach a lessons. The docile giant did not even stand a chance against him, it seems all his slams and fists with which he won the competition bounced off the late entry guard's skin. The maddened guard barely held himself back to continue to pummel Zev after he was knocked out, but already by that time it was too late.

What happened after this can be described most as a chaos, contestants and audience jumping into the cage with weapon, not even able to scratch the skin of the Mad murderous guard.

Some say the mad guard is either a 'neuri' or was cheating with 'vraja', no man could have left the cage without a bruise form the champion of the night, not to mention the weapon that were applied later.

Most of the guard who were present was shocked by the event, and claimed that the Mad man will be hanged, even the Vardo offered the starter bounty on his head.

Horns were constantly blow on that night in the Citadel, none were sleeping peacefully in Vallaki.

Work is seen being done on the doors of the Wayfarer Kinship lodge house; the doors being reinforced and their lock mechanisms changed...

Rumour has it that a Vallaki garda died in the night at Tigan's Rest. The cause of death: winter sickness. The corpse was burned quickly by nervous slum-dwellers keen to limit the spread of the sickness.

Word quickly spreads around the slums dwellers that the Sunkisser half-vistani known as Warn Windwill has been making regular deliveries to the charity house in the district with ready cut oak and beech wood planks for use in keeping fires burning and or to aide in repair of holes in buildings or doors. Warn it is said also is providing fresh meats and skins to this same place for those that visit again in both cases free of charge.

After another series of days yet another large load of beech and oak planks are delivered to the charity house in the slums for those there to make use of as they will. Again the donator it seems from a few was the half-vistani blooded hunter Warn Windwill

A Woman in black Strides about the Morninglordian Sanctuaries whispering the illness of the Vicar in the ears of those whom would be interested in attending the small service or to visit her with gifts of flowers, it is said that it must be a closed casket lest the disease spread, it is told in hush lest the children overhear. Her death is imminent and it is only a small window of time that last respects might be payed as the sickness saps her strength.

The woman on her deathbed had found many visitors, but come next morning she was no where to be found. Some say that she was kidnapped sometime during the night, but whispers grow that she had run away from her duties—not really being ill.

A group of misguided but none the less shady youth continuously approach lone stragglers in the corners of the Slums and Sewers.
They demand a 50 fang tax or donation going to 'The Sobolani' or 'Manuel'. Those who refuse to pay are mauled by Neuri.

A familiar barovian girl dressed in a rosy pink gown is once more seen about the streets leaving tinctures, food and blessings over the homes in the slums. Notes left upon the doors

The body of a man known as Prospero de Giovanni was found outside of Tigan's Rest this morning. His shirt was ripped open, the letter 'A' carved into his chest, and there were large puncture wounds in his palms. Also, a note on the door, written in blood:

So to all who try to avoid the Night's justice...
That justice shall be slow, painful and grim.
To all who seek to do ill at their whim,
Fear the night and fear it well...
For long shall be your tortured trip to hell...

[Recently notices in Luktar have been found along the street of the Slums]

On your feet, Gundarkites, homeland calls!
The time is here, now or never!
Shall we stay slaves or be free?
This is the question, answer me!
By the Dawn
We vow,
We vow, that we won't be slaves
Any longer!
Gundark szabadság!

~The body of a woman was found in the streets of the vallaki slums by Recruit Rica Andrei Lupescu while in civillian dress, the recruit filed a report through the proper channels and sent for someone to collect the body once he returned to the citadel. Rumors say the corpse was missing it's head and had several perforations in the back and abdomen , the crime scene had been heavily disturbed by the indigenous population of rats known to frequent the streets at night~

Whispers around the slums the past day or so have it that there is to be a wedding at the eternal dawn temple of the sunkisser cultists between two of their light carrier faithful, one being a locally born half-vistani bastard blood named Warn Windwill, known to a few in the slums as one who works for aiding in gathering fresh foods at all times of the year as well as providing fixes to doors and window shutters and building sides when requested, the other being an outlander woman named rada or adeline depending who you ask....

Word is that the two are to be wed in the Eternal Dawn building in the coming day as the faithful to the dawn led by Warn prepare to setup the final touches for the ceremony.

OOC the event will be taking place in two hours from this post (presently 1000am eastern) and start at 1200pm eastern or so

~A brief search began for a local woman who never returned home from a night of binge drinking at the Tigan's rest. She could best be described as a local girl who was unmarried and had a knack for getting involved with the wrong sort of men. No one has seen hide nor hair of her since she departed the tavern  early in the morning with two strangers. Many think it likely she has run off with them in some debased love triangle~

The Tigan's Rest had an unusual set of patrons last eve. A pair of outlanders, one an elf and the other a rather pale-faced woman, both garbed in green and black and carrying with them a grim countenance. The elf approached the barmaid, Zina, and inquires about the missing lady and the two men she foolishly skipped off with. Those who ask might overhear a few unpleasant rumblings about 'Dilisnya cultists'.
