« on: December 28, 2017, 11:42:51 AM »
Question: Who rules Numeria?

Proposal: The Black Sovereign.

Test: Examine national and local policy.

Finding: Without fail the policies - enforced by the men of metal - serve only the League.

Proposal rejected.

Question: How does the League rule?

Proposal: Control of enforcement.

Test: Observe actions of men of metal.

Finding: Men of metal responsive to League members only.

Proposal supported.

Conclusion: Rule is achieved by controlling the dominant power in a land.

Question: What is the dominant power in Barovia?

Proposal: The undead.

Test: Survey the extent of unliving presence across lands.

Finding: Widespread.

Proposal supported.

Question: Is there a limit to the energy a living body can sustain?

Proposal: At a certain threshold, life is lost.

Test: Exposure, repeated.

Finding: An excess of energy tears a body apart, if not channelled elsewhere.

Proposal supported.

Notes:

 - Though testing has proven successful, the facilities used are limited in security and resources. Minimum proof of practical application of findings has been achieved but the
furthering of my studies will require finding a more stable place to work. Hazlan presently under consideration.

 - My vision is beginning to fail and I fear the risks that exploratory treatment will bring. More testing must be conducted before I test my endurance again. Time must not
   be wasted.

 - Long term effects of exposure still unknown. Testing difficult, although a promising lead has been identified: Eyclone. If the procedures are not novel, claiming the
knowledge of those that have come before should allow me to keep from crossing the threshold.

Question: How can the ignorant and traitorous be managed?

Proposal: Punishment.

Test: Eliminate opposing agents bi-weekly.

Finding: Gradual capitulation. Scheming is evident but unlikely to prove effective provided all traitors are eliminated.

Proposal supported.

Notes:

 - Hardly novel contributions to mortal knowledge.

 - Support for findings suggests that elimination is best continued until opposition breaks.
