Her heart stopped for a moment.
Seeing him again was -electric-
Exciting, but Lethal.
Seaons ago, she would've said somewhat witty with ease,
and he'd melt in her hands like a pudding.
But in this moment, her heart stopped.
Her eyes widened.
He smiled, such a curious intent.
She'd count sheep on the wall at night, wondering on about
what his smile meant.
She'd toss and turn in her sheets, why did it matter?
She had moved on,
so had her mind.
So had her heart.
So why should that goofy smile matter?
Pehaps it was the way his eyes shined for a fraction of a moment,
The way his lips tugged like an ocean wave to reveal his left canine.
It was the smile she had fallen in love with, the one she kissed after she had said
"I do " to.
... It was the lips, that betrayed her,
the lips that pressed against anothers.
And that's when seeing him no longer was exciting,
It was Lethal and it burned her to her very core.
His lips, that smile.
It was not hers anymore, and it would likely never be hers again.
So,
She closed her eyes.
So that seeing him again, would never feel Electric.
