People who pass by these places, and have the curiosity to look, will find traces of recent and constant activity. These consist specifically of footprints of well used boots, the markings of a staff punching the ground as its owner uses it for support in his walks, which sometimes turn to the prints left by a bear or, very rarely, a wolf.
Around the stones circles of the area, be it the one south of Vallaki or the one east of Village of Barovia, more curious marks can be found. Pieces of bark removed from already dead trees are carved with characters of the Druid language, a plea left to be found by those of Nature.
