Those having spent enough time in the outskirts were likely aware of the tales that undead might burst from their graves, luring victims into a deadly snare. A trend, over the last few months it would seem - rotting creatures reaching out to those around the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn. . . first under peaceful contact, until things inevitably soured.

Rumors again circulate of another such case - travelers drawn to the graveyard by a gruesome display. What proceeded to follow, however - was more bizarre than ever if the rumors are to be believed. A skeletal creature with a parchment nailed to its chest. Some claim it was almost as if the skeleton was trying to hold a conversation with those present, despite its inability to speak. As such things usually end, however - a bloody battle ensued that nearly cost one his life.

Some seem at ease from what they overheard of the parchment's writing - thinking there may be an extended reprieve. Others, however - fear what is to come of the ominous warning.

Late during the time of Old Night, two figures are seen along the road towards the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn. One, clearly dressed as a Light-Carrier though the other appeared to be in simple plated armour, are seen entering the temple, only to be followed soon later outside by another Light-Carrier where a small ritual ceremony was held atop the hill overlooking the Sanctuary and the City, the smell of acrid and rotting flesh was on the air for some time before it dissipated, the fires dying down with the coming rain

[The half-elven light carrier would be seen sitting up at night, taking watch in the graveyard behind the church. He patrolled about often, but mostly focused on watching a fresh grave. He had with him always, his prayer beads in hand clutched tightly, a stake within arms reach and two mirrors strewn about. Some time during the man was attacked by the woman known as Flare, who was struck down by one of the lay followers of the Cult

Some time later the Deathsinger herself was caught hiding in the graveyard. The young light carrier confronted her, spoke to her, mirror held high, before the night grew thin and the beast misted away]

Increased activity is seen from the erected fenced off area of the Nevermore Night festival grounds as various members of the Morninglordian faith are seen coming and going bringing a variety of equipment or in some cases barrels that appear to contain salted meats and spices. With day of the festival fast approaching, it is expected to be quite the turnout.

At noon, two men departed the Grey City, westward bound. One wore a green tabard over a hauberk; a cowl shrouded the metal mask enclosing his face. The other in tow was a diminutive Barovian man bearing a mason's tool-case. Upon their backs were all of their worldly possessions, and upon their tongues, bright conversation.
As stone walls faded into ice-wreathed fields and the empty Winter road, they banded their hands together.

They are not seen again.

The Graveyard behind the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn blossoms into life, as a dark-haired elf places bouquets of bone-white lilies at the base of each grave.

The cemetery behind the sanctuary has a new frequent visitor. A young woman, with brown hair and poor conversational skills is becoming a regular sight. Sometimes she is weeding the yard or trying to trim the grass with a rusty scythe. Other days she is scraping moss off headstones. Prior to sunset, she is lighting candles by the graves or finding vases for placed flowers.

Word spread of two guards being ambushed by, supposedly, a Necromancer. One of them lost his life, the second one nearly as much.

Brock struck once more, nearly taking the lives of two officers of the Vallaki Garda. He was reportedly making a escape north after being badly wounded himself. The two Officers were promptly hurried to the Sanctuary for much needed treatment.

Gossip speaks of at least four guards losing their lives to a single assailant. It's suspected that the sword brandishing man known as Brock may be the culprit.

Travelers and woodland walkers would remark a large man in full plate with a visage of a bull constantly near maddeningly searching for someone along the roads and woodlands of Barovia, Screams of a woman's name would echo from his helm in desperation

With the rising sun two Akiri women make a crude sun out of shadow dusts. One of the women, wearing a black Jackal mask then shouted proclamations of thanks to Ra for saving them the prior evening from the furry beasts. After the proclamations she danced within the sun before finishing the offering

12 hours ago, a body was left charred to black ash in front of the Church of The Coming Dawn, with the poor soul's eyes plucked out from it's head before death. One was left behind, juicy and bloodshot. The body was accompanied by the smell in the air of a brush or house fire, although it could not be determined from whence the smell came. A cackle and a warning was heard in the other wise dark and moonless night, promising more 'burnt offerings'. One thing is clear. This is Vengeance.

In the dead of night a brief commotion can be heard in the graveyard of the Western Outskirts.

The soft whisper of magic followed by a violent tearing sound and the thud of flesh hitting cobblestones.

After this sudden noise, all is again silent.

A pool of crimson blood is all that remains of whatever occurred.

Late at night, the sounds of a cracking whip was echoing from the graveyard of the Western Outskirts. Along with the lashing, the booming voice of a man chanting repetitively in Darkonese could be heard for some time. Eventually the noises ended, and at dawn there was no sign of any disturbance in the graveyard.

Word spreads of a cold breeze blowing through the outskirts, the mist carrying in its breath. Its first victim, a man in blue, claimed as his visage disappeared into its grasp and then two more each as foolish as the other to the cries and shock of onlookers. "Teram!", "Decimus!", "Clara!"... the calls for them echoing in the dark night go without response.

A familiar figure in brown leathers wearing the flag of Gundarak wrapped around his arm was seen in the outskirts after pinning another notice to the old tree. An impassioned speech ensued about corruption, freedom and standing up for what is right. Upon the completion of his speech, the man disappeared in a fog of black, leaving behind ways to contact him upon those present before disappearing from sight

The figure known as 'Rňka' was seen again in the night, preaching to a large crowd of the innocence of Ettienne De Moret, and the oppression of both the Garda and their tyrannical leader. His pleas and cries for justice appeared to fall on deafs ears. Downcast, the Gundarakite was seen trudging down the path west of the gallows before fading from sight

One night, as the waxing half moon shone naked in the sky, a Shaman covered head to toe in old and rotten furs approached the gates. There it produced three bones from its pouch. The first, a charred and blackened bone, the second, a bloody and wet bone, and the third, a brittle and hollowed bone. The first bone was ground into dust and scatted upon the stone road. The second bone was inserted into the Shaman's mouth. It ground the bone with its tusks before spitting it towards the city. The third, and final, bone was brought to its lips. There it was blown into as its brittle dust was cast into the air. The Shaman chanted some more in a strange tongue before he finally stood and left west.

It passed the people upon the roads, some staring with disdain and one even being so bold as to spit at him. He ignored their reactions fading into the night.

As dusk falls upon Vallaki, some may notice someone or something praying on top of the hill next to the temple. As night falls, it disapears.

...A young fellow, with pale skin, and dark red hair, his voice having a Darkonese accent, routinely seeks to hear other's stories, particularly about what he calls 'chillers' as the folk in Mordent tell one another in the evening at their home fires. He looks to share his tales and hear others many nights at The Lady's Rest.

Dawnbringer Sasha can be seen asking half-orcs and caliban coming into the temple lately if they know of this "orc tribe", and seems to be searching for a way to get in contact with them.

In the dead of night, figures stole away towards the old and worn construction known as the Gallows. After their work was complete, one of them peeled away to yell towards the outskirts, a cry of rebellion. Shortly after, a flaming arrow flits through the sky, smoke trailing behind it, landing upon the mound of wood and ropes. Within mere moments of the arrow hitting it's mark, the Gallows went up in flames with a fiery roar, crackling and burning away at the symbol of cruelty. Nearby, a flaming symbol was etched into the road of a Fox, and a note was stuck to the nearby stone:
