Letters Posted in Vallaki and the Surrounding Areas

Last evening, letters from "Marta" are posted to her father in the Vallaki region:



These letters all have the same exact handwriting and are found in the following areas: in the Lady's Rest, in the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn, by the bounty notice board, affixed to a tree at the intersection in the Western Outskirts where the warning sign and skeleton hang, in a sheltered outcrop right by the elven home, in the southern woods just outside of Vallaki (by the road), in the woods right by the abandoned well, and in the woods by the Vistani camp.

Interestingly enough, the letters in the woods and by the intersection leading to Vallaki also had a rose-colored disk attached to them, which some may recognize as a holy symbol of the Morninglord.

One of the notes was found in the Eastern Farmlands, it has been torn to shreds along with a local young Barovian man.

Hts scattered body staining the fresh snow a bright red in a wide perimeter, the local man seems to have been brutally disemboweled, his heart slashed through and lying a few feet away, one arm lies in shreds down to the fingers and his head was thrown a small distance away.
Scattered as it is, no parts are missing from the corpse.

Large wolf-like footprints lead back into the forest where the predator dwells.

The notices are torn down by a somber-faced young woman in gold and red armor.
