With obedience, comes bounty.
The harvest is upon Nordhazlan, and by all accounts, as faithful servants make their annual reports to their rishads, we have been blessed by our Iron Lord. While Myterri’s deceptions and evils of this Falsverden yet corrupt the world around us, Nordenvall Village endures as a bastion for our faith community bound in singular purpose: to obey and serve the Lawgiver.
At this harvest time, we come together with our families, bound by a force stronger than our bloodline–our piety and unwavering faith. But as we do come together, let us also take this time to pray for those who are no longer with us and for the ones left behind. Satrap Perzatis and his nephew and niece, will not be joining us at our communal table for this harvest feast, and while his widow may feel their absence the most at this time, she is not alone, for as we all believe and know to be true, death is but a release, and one day, we, the virtuous and obedient, shall be joined again in the Iron Paradise. For Lady Azadeh Perzatis and her surviving household, let us pray.
Let us also pray and give thanks to those who have departed the sanctuary of our borders, and the comforts of family and village, who now, as with the Blessed Fezima before them, pick up the spear of the Western Mission of the Church of the Lawgiver, and continue to spread the Iron Truth among the heathens of Barovia. For Akolyte Ahzkan, let us pray, and keep an open seat in his honor at our tables as we feast and give praise to the Lawgiver for a bountiful harvest.
And for the illustrious Red Academy, let us give give praise for those who serve King Hazlik, and for the cleansing of the taint that has for too long troubled their halls, with the absolution of Instructor Emel, who after suffering outside the grace of the Lawgiver returns to the Iron Fold. For the wisdom and mercy of Biskop Taico, let us pray and give thanks.
And for the continued prosperity and security of Nordhazlan and our sacred traditions and society, under the authority of Vraylok Ossur Kryllian, and under the moral authority of Nordenvall Fane, and the sovereignty of King Hazlik, let us all pray and give thanks.
Lord Ossur Fezim
