Clear self contained spell effects
« on: December 03, 2016, 03:36:07 PM »
Could this be modified to actually clear every spell effect on a person. Its always super annoying when you use that but then any spell cast on you by someone else you cant remove it unless you rest or it times out.

No, because then you can exploit it to remove effects put on you against your will.

Isnt it possible to tell the difference between buff and negative effect? Since its able to clear everything off your self and still not remove negative effects. Cant it just remove all buffs from your person and leave the negative effects as they are, the way it currently does?

I wish there was a way to break only the self-contained spells with visual effects. Sometimes you just want to break the invisibility, not all the buffs along with it. Oh well, drawing a "mark" and attacking it is easy enough to do.

That can be frustrating when you have 4 hour rest timers as well, though it isn't too much of a deal. Would it be possible to get rid of visual effects on the caster? That also has some abuse potential as you can conceal spells like shadow shield, but it makes no mechanical difference. Perhaps only allow it in certain areas such as near cities, like how you can only light fires outdoors if it is possible to set it?
