Issues with new computer

So I got ahold of a high range last gen gaming laptop. It runs all my favorites flawlessly and with better quality settings. I installed NWN and downloaded all the files for POTM. My rig should be able to handle this no problem, but the game is super laggy, and some of the images of the items I have are whited out. Is there a file I missed? Is windows ten stupid? (yes) Is it my settings? I downloaded the custom UI, and all the POTM files. Maybe I'm missing something. Some help would be appreciated.

Make sure to run the game in Compatibility mode. Test out some different configurations then apply the one that works best.

The textures of armor and items are off. Colors aren't showing up. Item sprites are whited out. Could it be a bad installation?

Maybe try reinstalling CEP?

I sometimes get things whited out but restarting the game fixes that. My textures are fine, though.

I've noticed that all the cloaks and many of shields are whited out for me. Some of the textures look matalic, and shouldn't be. Tried reinstalling everything and the lag is gone, but the texture issues remain.

tried everything, even uninstall and reinstall. Still, no change.

There are also in-game options and ini settings to be checked. I would start by disabling everything possible.

I have reinstalled different versions of the game, and nothing. I think there might be something wrong with the CEP download, or I'm not doing something right.

The white items issue is something i have once in a while. But it usualy is gone on my next loggin.

The cloaks don't even display on my characters

I have never needed to use it but it may help if your installation is being awkward.
