+1 AB weapon not working on Aberrant Werewolves etc

I have a +1 AB rapier and before today I had no issues hitting werewolves with it.

Today I was fighting with said rapier and were landing BIG hits (crits etc with it) and doing NO damage at all. I thought +1 AB was able to overcome DR.

I had to change to a OLD (i.e. before the newer crafting system) silver gilded Rapier (which is only +1 vs shapeshifter incidentally) before I could damage the Aberrant werewolf.

Has something changed and now a +1 generic AB weapon doesn't work anymore on a werewolf?

You sure about that? I don't think I've ever needed anything above +1 to damage any werecreature at all.

And he did say he switched to a silver weapon, which is still +1, and was able to hurt the creature then.

Helaman-did you by chance have magic weapon or greater magic weapon cast on your rapier? If you have that spell cast twice on a weapon it bugs the weapon and you have to re equip it for it to pierce DR.

I have to say this would go against lore wouldn't it? since the silver weapons should still work on them and have in the past. and the silver weapons IG are only a +1

Why don't they give +1 EB against shapechangers instead?

It might just be a bug as McNastea mentioned, if you're ever having problems like that I find it's usually fixed by just re-equipping the weapon.
