Seen pinned to various locales across Port-á-Lucine and its environs are these small, hand-written notes in Mordentish.

Greetings, citizens of the fair Republic. At the 27th of this month of Août, the year 771 of the Barovian Calendar, a public talk regarding the state of the nation and its people will be held at a southern crossroads in l'Ouvrier, just off to the way of l'Savant.

Food will be given out to those less fortunate.

Standing in the rain and dreary weather of the early morning, most comers to the 'speech' were surprised to find that there was no speech at all; only a grouping of boxes filled with food, and a series of fliers hanging underneath an old graffiti...
