The Time of Unparalelled Darkness

The zealot elven anchorite and inquisitor of Ezra, Jadin Veritas, has spent much time actively preaching the Darkonese message of the faith founded in Nevuchar Springs.  In the Outskirts of Vallaki, all who would listen can hear his grim message.
"The Legions of the Night continue to descend on Barovia like a plague!  Their presence is a sign of things to come, for the darkness soon approaches.  Prepare yourself for what is to come.  Learn to handle a sword, make provisions for survival and head Ezra's holy word.  For when the mists of death finally overwhelm the realm, only those who have been loyal and true to the Savior will survive!  Open your hearts, repent from unjust ways, and follow the honorable path of Our Guardian.  All those who have ears, listen, seek those who can teach you further of salvation, and the truth will set you free of the bonds of sin."

*On a snowy morning, the small but ominous figure of the elven Anchorite, Inquisitor Veritas, stands in the outskirts in dark garb to match the darker message he preaches from an equally intimidating book black as night with the symbol of Ezra intricately inlayed into the cover*
"Why we ask?  Why is Barovia punished so by the mists of death which torment her lands and people on a near daily basis?  The answer is not so hard to find, one must merely look within!  Sin and lack of faith have drawn the ire of the mists, which have sent their diabolical agents to reclaim Barovia as they did Darkon!  Soon, their numbers will overwhelm those not protected through acceptance of the Saviors sacrifice.  The legions of the night will continue to hunt, stalk, and destroy!  But harken and take hope, for there is a pinprick of light in this darkest night.  By admittance of one's guilt, and steadfast resolve to confront the legions of the night in whatever form they take, may you still be spared from what is to come!  Learn the ways of combat, prepare for further darkness, and above all, believe that the Savior will see you through."

*The elven Inquisitor of Ezra's Zealots spent most of the day preaching and bringing warnings of dark things to come amongst the fair folk of Degannwy.  Being of the same blood, he shared his past experiences and what turned him from the path of the old ways.  Though his prophesying was likely met on deaf ears, he none the less left in peace with hopefully new thoughts spurned in elven hearts*

*In a sign of defiance, the elven inquisitor continues his fiery sermons outside of the church where the massacre had just endured*
"Many shall ask.  Where is Ezra when such tragedy goes on?  How can such a devoted and caring protector stand by and watch such things happen? How can this be allowed?  I beseech you then, ask yourself this...Ezra endured her own tragedy, beared her own burden, underwent the loss of her own life, so that others may have salvation.  Are we any different?  How might we interpret the grand scheme, and how might we know the darkness and sin of the legions were we not able to see it first hand?  Take the message that the legions of the night have brought to our door step, and use it to fuel your thrist for divine justice!  Hide no longer, fear no more, for so long as there is faith held, we shall raise sword against the forces of night, and they shall know fear at what they cannot extinguish!  The faithless have long been ignorant to the ways of truth, but now more than ever we must enkindle the light within ourself, and those who have not yet known it!  Do not mourn, do not weep, for now is our time to show the forces of death that we will not go quietly, together we can and will bring divine wrath to those fiends who attempt to intimidate by fear and terror, their days are numbered and they know it, so they grow deparate.  Unify, come together in this cause to take them down, and they shall know that Ezra has condemned them from beyond the mist!"

Let it be known to you who doubted Ezra's protection! The undead fiend known as the midnight raptor has been slain by the hand of the Saviors faithful.  Laid to rest permanently!  Repent your sins, and take faith that only through our Guardian are you ever truly saved!

*In characteristic dramatic fashion, the Elven Inquisitor delivers a fiery sermon in the outskirts, appealing to the everyday citizen to see the truth in his message of redemption*
Citizens of Barovia, it is with great pleasure that I announce that the Savior has once again demonstrated her unending mercy and sovereignty over the legions of the night, by this proclamation...The denizens of darkness fall prey to divine justice once more.  Fear less, as the drinker of blood known to cloak in darkness, lie in wait and stalk its foes, the vampire Ryul, has been dispatched by the blade of Ezra's finest.  No longer must you fear to be drained by such a foul and vile creature.
Furthermore, with the aid of the competent souls of the Vallaki Garda, the beast that rends known as Markov, has been dispatched and its sinful existence eviscerated. 
Let these acts of bravery and justice be signs of the saving grace of Ezra.  Turn from the sins of the past, and know that with the Saviors redeeming kindness, you can be delivered from darkness by your faith.
