*a few days after the re-opening of the bank a man clad in dark robes used a brightly gleaming hammer and chizzle on the cobbles directly infront of the banks door, chizzled in glowing red letters: 'Dire was here', beside the glowing letters lay a simple strip of wolftail with a single fang laid ontop of it*

...And in the middle of the snowy night, a young woman sits alone on a cold bench and silently weeps; asking herself softly where she went wrong.

rumors spread around the city of the attack on the Blue Water Inn. Hoards of rats where witnessed by many on lookers from the Inns viewing room. screams from the patrons below and above sent the establishments residents into a Chaotic frenzy. nearby residences who witnessed the event from their dark bedrooms, spoke of the horrifying cries of both man, and beast within the Inns walls.

as dawn approached, and Old Nights Terrors fled back into Vallaki's sewers. word spread of a Barovian Guard that saved the lives of more than 5 people from Certain death. the savage Nueri driven back by one of the Count's finest swordsmen. the name Private Gregori Iorgovan and his heroic deeds linger among the lips of the Inn's esteemed patrons. the nearby neighborhood children are heard chanting his name, in a world were local hero's are a rare commodity.

Word of the public humiliating whipping Ex-Nobleman poseur Vincent Vasil Stravokov suffered at the hands of the garda. It is rumored that his own Cousin betrayed him on accounts of grave robbery and other illegal witch related crimes. Rumored that the Burgomaster himself attended to the flogging, stating the word Ionelus would forever be banned coming from the mouth of a Stravokov under the penance of death.

Word of increasing movement around the Poisoners' Rectory behind the bank. Mentions of increased patrols and guards seen coming in and out of the place.

A reknown red-haired feyborn has been seen going out from the Ezra Rectory yelling, which is not even unusual for her. The words "HERETICS" and "SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED THERE" were the only intelligible words heard.

Rumors of the Knighting of Known Witch Vincent Vasil Stravokov spread amongst Vallaki's nobilty, several have immediately cut ties with the Von Zeklos after the incident reaching words in most Blue Blood Circles. Adding to the recent undead Claims derision by the local peasantry, that believe the Zeklos Lands have been corrupted by the Dilisnya poisoner influence within. Known Witch Stravokov figures on everyone's lips. Many wonder how much longer the Von Zeklos will continue to surprise by having known vrajas and Imortij acting as prominent figures in their land, and how much longer will it take for the Count himself to notice...

The event is seen as an affront to the Burgomaster of Vallaki himself, present at the flogging given to the new Zeklos Knight, this comes after some tensions, some say, between the Vallaki Dilisnya  and the Zeklos Dilisnya who seem to been having a fall out. Nobles view this as a public shame to Nicolai Ionelus, whose son is directly involved in those events.

Valko and Valentina Stravokov were seen entering the Blue Water together in bridal attire. One well informed cannot help but remember the recent trouble between them and marvel at the new development.

A rumor among the nobles who smiles to the newly weds and whispers in their back: the bride would be secretly seeing the young militia man Alexi Toskalov. The Stravokovs always had the gift to get themselves in troubles or tangled with the wrong kind. More also murmurs of the alliance of the fallen Vincent with the Zeklos, the rumor will was not running out of water anytime soon, imortis, pact with demons and worst!

Those of the Dilisnya Cult who were seen under escort of the Vallaki garda on their way to the trial, were seen many hours later walking freely back to their rectory. While there had not yet been any statement of the Burgomaster’s made public, it was easily deduced that those who had been accused by Lord Zeklos of slander and treason, were found not guilty.

Rumors of the trial spin left and right. Some talk about how Erik Draven had been accused of stealing the body of his own companion, Vasten Fynolt. Words such as ‘incompetence’ and ‘unprepared’ are often used about Vallaki when talking about the representatives of the boyar at the trial.

Some swear that had it not been for Lord Zeklos’ knighting of the branded witch and Vallaki outcast Vincent von Stavakov, that the verdict may likely have fallen in the boyar’s favor. The Burgomaster is reported to have asked the Zeklos’ Special Envoy at the trial that if he warned Lord Zeklos of the dangerous Stavokov, just as Nell Ward warned him of the imjortii Marle Winterlass, would he too then be charged with slander and treason?

The Burgomaster himself, many witnesses claim, even went so far as to name Marle Winterlass as an imjortii and threat to Barovia.
Some wonder if Lord Zeklos has fallen prey to the influence of the undead Dilisnya poisonner, Marle Winterlass.  While some others may blame the Dilisnyas for everything. No matter what side of the fence one may be on, what is certain is that the conflict between Zeklos Keep and Vallaki is escalating.

As dusk crept over the City Of Vallaki, the Nobles returned to their homes and Guards prepared to turn to their wall posts or to the Citadel...a large beast burst from the Disilinya's Cathedral, cloaked in shadows and shimmering lights it thunderd down the streets towards the lake, two brave Garda attempted to stop the rampaging witch but were unable to stop it as it bullrushed past, a figure held in its grasp, none other than the Burgomasters shunned son was heard screaming as he was stolen away into the Old Night...

After a quiet night of rest Ruxandra Stanga is seen leaving the Bluewater Inn via private carriage.  Many whisper that the trauma of being falsely accused of murder after risking her life to aid the guard against an attack of smugglers emotionally drained her.  Others fear that her failure to recover the guard captives of the smugglers on top of the loss of her baby have drove her to near madness and caused her to lose any lack of judgment and rationality that she ever posessed.  Needless to say it is certain that she will be returning to the Winter House owned by her family in Immol where she will be accomponied by her husband, Dragomir.

A odd scent hangs in the streets of the Noble District at nights, it seems to stirr the rats and 'Neuri-rats'. Gnawing, scratching, screeching they seem excited by something.

The local Garda seem to be on high alert, stopping and checking every passer by concerning their plans and actions.
The gossip of dissapearances, lacking Garda and ''who'' will be next hangs on the lips of the cities nobility.

The privileged children of Vallaki's noble caste rejoice with anticipation that the famous toy and doll maker, Von Karstein has purchased a workshop outside of Vallaki. The world reknown craftsman has bought an abandoned farmhouse east of the city. Wealthy parents have already begun leaving expensive orders for dolls and stuffed animals with the reclusive toymakers assistant.

A massive stir was caused earlier today when a woman sporting bat-like wings was escorted by a collection of Vardo, Ezrites and Guarda from the Ezrite church to the citadel, her chin held high despite the jeers and insults hurled at her by residents. She was taken into the citadel and the heavy doors were slammed shut and bolted. Anyone who has two brain cells to rub together are certain of the winged womans fate: Torture, Interrogation, Death.

Murder is on the lips of numerous residents throughout Vallaki, namely those who reside in the Nobles District.  Word spreads like wildfire that the shady dealer of goods, Gavril Lanovich, was killed in his home.  The gossipers say that the man was found in his bedroom by his young wife, laying in a pool of blood and covered in multiple stab wounds.   It’s believed that Gavril’s downfall may have been the fact that he rarely kept good on his word and made a habit of dealing in illegal goods.  The coin was good but the string of angry customers may be to blame for his premature death.  Members of the Lanovich family have stated that they will be hiring outside sources to investigate the untimely death.  The young widow known as Esmé has been said to have taken up residence in the Broken Bell, refusing to stay at the manor she once called her home let alone go back to gather up her belongings.

Word on the street, sprawled by a local boy of all people, carries the news in Vallaki that its "Greatest General" - Vladimir Ionelus, "the Wicked Prince", will return from a thriumphant war Campaign led on the borders of Invidia. All citizens of Valalki are ordered to cease activities when the city's Bell will announce a marching parade will arrive from the West - not to assist the parade or to ignore it, might be seen as treacherous behavior subjected to arrests and questioning.

Word of a cruel, gruesome display of punishment carried on by Lieutenant Elton Belovich spread on the lips of the collective blue blood peasantry. The event wasn't without its lot of controversies and developments; amongst them, the murder of a Barovian farmer in the crowd and what seemed to be rebellious protests, as bottled flammable cocktails were flung by unknown onlookers near the crowd.

Those attending were served a right hand man, Gundarakite bear of a man as the proceedings opened - Zceteny Kovaczs. The brute was severely beaten by the Lieutenant with a stick, before his right arm was sawed at the elbow in front of a blood-pleading crowd. The brute showed incredible resilience to the painful punishment, much to the awe of those gathered and frustration of the guard.

Peasantry could see the humiliation of Petru Romulich as he weeped and begged for mercy; silently confessing his crimes, much to the enjoyment of the crowd and the Lieutenant himself.

The crowd dispersed at the coming of dusk, leaving the Gundarakite man dead. The body, however, was not seen there in the coming morning...

Word spreads that the loathed and feared fanatic Darkonese cultist - as per how Barovians who have had the displeasure of meeting him see him - Inquisitor of the Ezrite Church, Ivorn Meisser has returned to the Nobles district. Followed by what seems to be a mute robed devout servant, Meisser was seen taking his usual quarters at the Blue Water inn - flaunting Ezrite rings on his fingers and the wealth of her Church.
