Nicolae Macek, son of a Traitor, Private in the Vallaki Garda is seen less and less in uniform as the days pass. Restless in the Citadel Barracks, fighting through some unknown turmoil from within, spending his nights entertaining his new drinking habit at the Broken Bell. Isolating himself from his other esteemed guardsmen, notably going out of his way to avoid Lieutenant Krovache.

The bastard son, Nicolae Macek, after a few days of neglecting his duties as a Guardsmen has seemed to have disappeared. Leaving the Citadel gates in the middle of the Old Night in uniform, days pass without further word or sighting.

*Four dark clad figures, three with wounds of various degrees, stand before the citadel seeking a garda with the body of a half clothed man.*

Despite having been whipped fifteen times for insubordination, Adrian Stanga can be seen in the barracks after being dismissed, being his usual cheerful self.  Coming to know a few of the newer recruits like himself on personal terms.  His bostrous laugh can be heard occasionally throughout the halls.  When not in the Citadel or in uniform, it is said he goes to the Broken Bell to drink in merry fashion.
Figures, Soren's too busy to do something positive.  He thinks putting a smiling face in every message is positivity.

The recent gossip of a dangerous Witch furtherd amongst the Garda, most appraising the work of the outskirts patroll wich so often has to deal with the outlander scum, facing witchery every day...

A few nights following after the capture of this Witch, screams errupted from the Citadel in the dead of night, joining the chorus of blood curdling shrieks from the Neuri-rats that stalk the streets of the Grey City at night.

Manyer a torch light was seen flickering within the Courtyard of the Citadel that night, for those brave or foolish enough to venture into the Old Night, and those few Nobles that dared have their servants part the window boarding of their upper floors to see what all the horror was about.

Rumors about the trial given to Denisa Salicka spreads in the halls and around the citadel. It is an iron fisted, and outraged Burgomaster Ionelus that delivered his thundering verdict: Guilty on all accounts for treason. Despite the weak plea, some say Denisa Salicka still claimed her innocence of charges.

Not all was dark and somber, newly promoted Elton Belovich was tasked to make a strong example of the treacherous woman as first duty in his new role as Sergeant of the Vallaki guard. Many anticipate what display he will make of the traitor, to discourage and send a clear message of the fate reserved to those who would bring ill to Vallaki and its citizens.

The smell of delectable stew begins to waft around the entire citadel as Domna Ozera hums as she cooks all the meat Artenie and Antonescu were seen carting into the building for her. Seems the Vallaki garda will eat well tonight.

The Mist attended woman, the heretic, the criminal mystic Marle Winterlass is led into the Citadel, her head bowed low.  The Mists leave a trail in her wake as she follows in full compliance with the Law.

After being placed in her jail cell, she begins to pray incessantly so that prayers are heard by prisoner and guard alike.

The womans voice is soothing, assuring, promising.  And an unnerving bit foreboding, prayers calling for Ezras message to be heard... for everyones sake.

Doctor Ozera was seen being escorted from the Citadel this morning by Artenie and Vonovich, they seemed to part on amicable terms, so the reason behind her leaving is unknown. She has once again taken up residence in the Broken Bell inn.

At receiving the news of the murder of his friend and comrade, Varmathus Vonovich, Lance Corporal Iorgovan stoically retires to his office. His silence speaks volumes to the cumulative loss and pain he has suffered from a life time of service and sacrifice in The Vallaki Guard.

Candles are left out at the citadel wall by night in honor of the fallen Lance Corporal. Sergeant Belovich himself called off any Patrols outside the city walls for the day.

[In the early hours of the morning a blood splattered Sergeant Belovich emerges from the Jails with a woman's severed head, he proudly puts the head on a pike and leaves in on the walls for all to see. The head is badly bruised and missing it's left ear. Another token for the Sergeant's grizzly jewelry.]

The smoke has cleared and the villainous criminals, Valio the Red-Witch and his servant, the Brute Regdar have been executed after being caught performing a prison break of the Citadel Jail. Scores of dangerous criminals escaped into the streets. During the fierce battle of fire and witch-lightning, twenty one of Vallaki's Finest Guards and seven Vallaki Officers where slain. A total of half the Citadel garrison died in service to there city. Concerned citizens ask wheather the city can even defend itself after such a loss.

A young Borcan man was seen speaking with a member of the Garda near the citadel gates. The two entered the city jail together, but only the Garda came out...

[Crude drawings begin to Surface around the Government district. The vulgar representation of a Rokuman male, given horns of Iadul, with a few notes handwriten in Balok: "Gregori Iorgovan loves Gokudo and serves the Lizard King, Vasile."]

Humiliation and contempt. Words that describe the recent decision on the lips of guards, as announced by Vladimir Ionelus, who put Gregori Iorgovan in the hot seat, attributing him the decision of allowing outlanders back into the guard. The wisest can see the political game the Burgomaster's heir agile move created.

Several men speak in private, some are asked about the subject of Outlander Shinzo in the guard, many speak of of the softer hand and direction, Nicolai Ionelus is giving to Vallaki. The nomination of The Old Wardog as honor guard and his recent decision to allow outlanders in the guard fuels the perceptions that The Old Wardog and Old Ionelus are past their time. Slander and spitting in denial coming from the men in service is common occurance, the unwelcoming atmosphere of oppression is made felt.

Private Ovidandru was seen leaving the Citadel with none of his Guarda equipment.  As what led to the Invidian veteran as well as the favored of the Old Wardog's resignation or why he would consider, it seems the Rokuman Guarda was involved as well as Lance Corporals and Privates.  One thing is for certain, it had nothing to do with the top brass and a far cry from anything top.  The next day former private later was found in a torn suit below a huge wolf midday and moved to a hospice, an unlucky occurrence of likely cultist druid behavior causing the deeper spawn of the forest wolves to be on the road midday.

After recovery it seems the women Privates Camitru and Gachevska have taken to insulting his status as a former Guarda, while not following protocol on patrols.

Private Aleksandur Bachev is seen walking into the CItadel. His armor tattered and worn from battle, soaked from the torrential rains. He Walks tired and exhausted covered in bandages moving towards the Barracks as he passes a patrolling Guard barely able to gesture a greeting. the generous guard helps and assists him to the Infirmary...

The Citadel has been placed on high alert. Garda are seen patroling the walls and searching everyone who enters and leaves the Citadel. The soldiers are tight lipped when asked about the nature of the alert.

The Vallaki Fisherman and traitor Oleg Teche was executed in front the Citadel this evening. His crimes, transporting illegal contraband for Gundarakite Rebels. This execution serves as an acute reminder of Barovian justice.

a note seems to have found its way onto the Doors of the Citadel, it seems it was placed there during the horrifying Witching hours of the night.

//For those who may not be able to see the image the note reads

 Rebels Rise!

I am but a simple man, whose origins are plain.
I am but a simple family man, who as a child only dreamed of marrying,
raising children with my wife, and taking care of our ancestral lands.
Such dreams, such simple honest and good living,
is impossible so long as the Devil occupies our lands.
Such dreams are choked out by the Devil and his wicked ways.
Our lands have been seized!
Our children are not safe.  The Devil corrupted my sister, tainted her body,
changed her into one of his undead minions.
Only by the good grace of Dawn, was she set free, as a whirlwind of ashes in the morning light.
And they call us monsters!

For Dawn and Gundarak,

Rebels Rise!

Rebels Rise!

This morning another explosion occurred at the government district gate leading to the cities market. The explosion occurred just as a squad of Vallaki Guards had begun their patrol route. Two Garda died in the explosion. The investigating is ongoing. The Vallaki Guard is requesting information from the public for any witnesses or citizens who may have additional information.

Word spreads of the return of Private Toskalov to active service. Questions about his wife are met with sadness and news of her illness . It did not take long for him to make an impact with word of a captured rebel , caught in the outskirts.
