A New Dawn
« on: August 25, 2016, 02:37:31 PM »
Allek opened his eyes to see a clear blue sky. The pain was incredible as he pulled himself to a sitting position and looked around. He was at the Vistani camp between the mist. He was alive and his strength and senses were dulled from his ordeal.
It had been years since Allek had faced a vampire. In his youth, he challenged ancient vampires and lived. He was an accomplished vampire slayer and few could match his power. These three were more challenging then any he had faced before. Not even Lord Vladis instilled as much terror as these three. They used teamwork and cunning to take down his group. Even with powerful Ezrite warriors at his side and the full power of the dawn, it wasn't enough. He could remember the feeling off the blade ending his life. He remembered the pain.
He took a deep breath. He was alive, but he could tell it took a considerable amount of divine power and strength of will to return to the living. It would take time to recover, to relearn the knowledge lost from his ordeal. He hoped he had enough time to recover his power. Time to plan and beat these vampires once and for all. The Dawn Father was with him. Allek could feel the love and hope for him in his quest. He decided to rest, and when he was ready, Allek was going back to Vallaki to try and save its people from the horrors of the triad that haunted it. He would right the winds and once again face the darkness of night and Herald in the hope that a new dawn brings.
