I was thinking as I was fiddling with my new character and I came up with something. Not sure if it was suggested before but here it goes.
There are quests for letter delivery and supplies delivery. How about quests for crafters? For example, a certain npc requires n amount of specific equipment/item that can be crafted by players, scaling the xp and gold received depending on the item itself. If the item is harder to craft, gain a bit more xp and gold but not enough to powerlevel crafters. That will help crafters gain some for their goods.
On a side note, the warehouse in vallaki will reset the Supplier job needs, so every time the server resets, it resets. Basically it is dumbed down to low numbers for items, thus low chance for crafters to earn a coin early game.
