Alchemy/Herbalism - Oversights
« on: January 21, 2015, 04:53:35 AM »
I love the addition of the new herbalism and alchemy pouches and flasks, it's a great addition for organisation.

I have yet to check other places for alchemical flasks, but I've noticed that Codrin Varzaru in the Mage Tower does not sell them when you view his alchemical equipment. Is this an oversight?

Thanks,

~ emptyanima

EDIT: To clarify, he sells the alembic, kit, resin and containers. It's the reagent sorting flasks he does not stock.

Just an oversight.

Don't see a reason for making a new thread about this, sorry if I should have

The sisters of Hala or whatever they're called, the ones in Port that you can do herbalism at in the main temple thingy, don't sell the herb pouches

Changed topic title to encompass new system oversights in general. Then we can get them to all the places that missed it! Will post here if I notice any others.

The alchemy flasks... Are they only meant to hold small reagents? Items like golem hearts and large ooze wont fit..

Yeah, partly for realism. I am considering to allow it, but then make they take up the amount of inventory slots they use. Or alternatively make a whole new thing for larger things, hmm hmm.

I am also a fan of the herbalist pouches! The only thing that would make them even better is if they would automatically fill up with as many herbs of the same type as they can carry whenever selecting one.

Just rename Alchemist's Flask to Alchemy Jar? The alchemy reagants still encumber you and the craft still takes up quite a bit of inventory space, so I'd just leave it as is and change the item's name.

Giving we have some alchemy stuff from Van Richten's arsenal, I would love to actually be able to make it as the items themselves are rare to get.

Yeah I'm a big fan of the Van Richten arsenal and alchemy stuff as well.

+1

The containers are just brilliant. Thanks for making them Soren.
