Giving a forum to a "native" group without cohesion makes no sense. If you give it to Gundarakites, why not Barovians, Dementlieuse (which can be further divided in rich and poor), Akiri, Sithican High Elves, Sithican Wild Elves?
That's kind of what I meant by dividing the community. You'd eventually end up adding more and more sections and making a sub-forum for everything.
It's probably better to focus more on the dynamic between the different population groups. And on making these forums as easy to navigate as possible.
In all honesty, I still don't get why we have "Roleplay Discussion", "Server and Community" as well as the "Ravenloft Discussion" either.
Those could easily fall under one or two sections, most forums I have seen just have a general discussions area, with sometimes an off-topic or events area.
Likewise for the "Tales around the Campfire" section, pretty much anything there could be put in the "Whispers in the Shadows" or "Biographies" section.
But I digress, what it comes down to is that these forums could benefit from some streamlining and a simplified overview. Having less sections, not more.
(I honestly don't even want to imagine what the forums must look like for the project leaders who have every single one of the hidden sub-forums visible.)
All that said, I like to see people encourage more native RP. But keep in mind that a lot of Gundarakites have fundamentally different points of view though.
They're all in the same boat, but not at all on the same side. Morninglord followers and Nerull worshipping rebels couldn't be much more fundamentally different.
