Testing Module
« on: January 04, 2014, 09:44:19 PM »
Has anyone created a Custom Module to use the Ravenloft hak packs for leveling up? I'd imagine this being simple, and will do it myself if no one else has something I can just download.

I'd love this.

So many failed char attempts in my vault because I don't have this thing.

I'd be -really- cool if it started with the OOC room, with the same conversation and all the subraces and such.

Would this cover levels up to 20?

All you have to do is switch to do is
Code: [Select]
~DebugMode 1

~GiveLevels 19

and then you click on your character, and boom, level 20, which is what I normally do for testing on just the vanilla vault, but there's so many different feats and sub races and such in PoTM that it's not the same.

I have a module off the NWN vault I altered with the Ravenloft haks for testing various builds and concepts which includes the extra feats for various classes. The only thing it doesn't apply really is the parry ac bonus. Lemme know who's interested (via PM) and I'll provide a download link.

I guess I could. Won't be till tomorrow though as it's late and I want to make sure it DL's without hitch etc. I'll provide 3 modules. The vanilla, CEP version and then the one with the PotM stuff for making characters specifically for this server.

All props go to the original authors of the module which is still on the NWNVault and all I did was add PotM's haks and a few extra CEP resources. There's a few features such as a player leveler, store, item designer (this is a little broken in the PotM) and an arena to go fight scaled builds and a few monsters. See if your PC can punch out a dragon.

The original modules can be found here:
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Modules.Detail&id=4215

And this is the above with PotM's haks and .tlk added:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/a13wod5t3uvzuxd/%2BPretty%20Good%20Char%20Creator%20v43%20PotM.mod

They go in the modules folder in your NWN directory.

What one? I did a full NWN reinstall and only implemented the haks and files (meaning no longer having the older versions) currently placed for download.

*Slips out from some dark corner*

1st of all, thanks for sharing, Badelaire.

The hak pak that is missing, at least for me, is "rl_2da_v195a.hak".

I see what the problem is for some. Open the module up in your toolset and go to edit>module properties>custom content and remove the rl_2da_v195a entry (so only  rl_2da_v195b remains) then save.

Yeah. I can't open the module in the toolset neither.

Anyhow, might be just easier to ask someone for the old hak file. I will send you a PM once I have it.

Or could just ask real nice and I'd fix the issue.

EDIT: Lemme know if there's problems downloading that, links have been a bit squiffy lately.

Haha. I suppose I could. I just didn't want to be one of /those/ people. :)

Anyway, thanks a bunch. I will try the module tomorrow and let you know.

Edit: I may or may not have gotten out of bed just to try it out. It works! *happy dance*
