Barovia - Road to Zeidenburg

A Barovian farmstead outside of Zeidenburg was scene to a gruesome sight as the bodies of Iancu and Mirela Calinescu were found in their basement without their heads.  The word, carved in Luktar, "INVADER" was cut into Iancu's chest and a fire poker was left protruding from his side.  "BAROVIAN WHORE", also carved in Luktar, was cut into Mirela's back and a rat that had been coaxed to chew it's way into her guts, by use of fire and a pot strapped to her chest, is found dead inside of her.

Information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the deaths of Iancu and Mirela Calinescu.

Ten Thousand Fang is offered in reward to the party who apprehends the killer or killers.

Seek out Duccard Martel at the Lady's Rest outside the West Gate of Vallaki with any credible evidence and responsible persons captured.

Spoken amongst Gundarakites of the Wachter Province tell that a fellow of their kin is organizing an effort to repair the road to the south of Barovia of rubble, to reopen trade with the region.  Men parted with family in Zeidenburg, Teufeldorf, Berez, Cuzau, and other regions are urged to assist in the effort.

The organizing work party, however small or large it might be, is said to gather on Thursday, December 4th.

Workers are asked only to bring tools they have permits for.


(( This is a Gundarakite-centric roleplay event.  There may or may not be many at all present, but if you play a Gundarakite, you may wish to be present.  You might even learn a bit about the sons of Gundar.  Don't expect to make any true progress, this is simply a flavor event.

Event is set for Thursday, December 4th at 7pm EST. Time is subject to change.))

A dozen cloaked individuals travel south toward the Dreadpass down the Road to Zeidenburg. The treacherous road is said to be plagued by wolves, bandits, and monsters of all shapes. Yet, these troubles do not deter these mysterious travelers who soon arrive in the city of Zeidenburg where many wounded and crippled people lie after a great battle wrested control of the city from Burgomaster Moraru under the control of Ardonk Sziereza. It is said these hooded figures are healers who have come to help the sick and wounded recover including both Gundarakites and Barovians who have suffered the wounds of war...
