Tiny suggestion, I know you can resize creatures. Could Hoth get a slight Resize to actually be that bit taller? He's badass... I think he deserves the attention.

We can't resize dynamic model (PC races) only monstrous ones.

Actually, you can resize dynamic models >.> I've done it <.<

Though maybe this server you can't but with just standard CEP 2.3/4 you can.

Sorry, but I'm going to need to see proof before I believe you.

The way resizing works is that you place a creature model as the tail part for a special invisible creature model that has nodes for tails and wings. You can't have a dynamic model as a tail because dynamic models are made up of multiple models as parts (head, torso, both hands, both thighs, both shins, both feet, and optionally tail or wings) and those parts can't have other parts -- the individual body parts that make up the dynamic creature model cannot be called on by just referencing the tail model in the tails.2da. That'd be like saying you can put a head on a hand model, or attach wings to the left foot model. The game doesn't work that way.

Although the resizing does have some difficulties working with dynamic models (for examples wings on their ass, if the resized model is tall enough) it can do base races as long as you guys have the tail appearance for the dynamic humans - which we did, because I managed to make a drider sized halfling. It was hilarious.

Yeah, all the server itself needs is the models and you'll be resize any of the standard races and they'll be dynamic (to a degree, for example the clothing will be resized as well but wings and tails will stay where they are, we also had trouble with some - but not all - robes.)

To coin a phrase, I'll believe it when I see it. Neither the game's default tails.2da nor the CEP's tails.2da have those dynamic race models listed or available. I'll need to see screenshots of it before I'll believe it.

Well, I'm no longer a DM on that particular server so I can't go and do it - and I completely understand your skepticism! We'll see if I can't get some screenshots from the old days, though I'm uncertain of whether it was another hakpak or something that they used (by now I'm actually lost with what haks the server has since they've changed a lot and spliced some together and a whole bunch of other things).

I never saw them re-size any of the dynamic appearances over there but it would be interesting to see.

Pretty sure dynamic resize involves clever use of NWNx plugins/whatever, but it can be done.

Yup, Sinfar has made use of such. Nwncx actually allows for alot of neat changes and additions for nwn. Sadly not alot of people are to familiar with it yet so it has yet to really take off. As far as i know, sinfar is actually the furthest with it.

NWNx and NWNcx allows for a nearly unlimited amount of features if you have the time for it and the type of programming knowledge it requires to make the plugins. Perhaps you can persuade the guy from Sin Far to be a bit more social and actually share the NWNx and NWNcx plugins he makes with the open NWN community? Because that's probably why it hasn't "taken off yet".

This! NWN is a dying or atleast a very small community! We need to be helpful in these days and share our knowledge of the NWN engine.

Most seem to approach him directly i know a few servers have approached him for his content. And he has helped a few become set up to use such. Likely best to just ask him if he would be willing to share some of the features. Dont think Mav is big on publishing his stuff for people to just take and use, he seems to like  to know just who is using it and for what purpose.

If the rest of the NWN community had that approach, NWNx and NWNcx that he benefits from probably wouldn't have developed as it have.

Anyway, we have considered NWNcx at some point, but you have to weigh it against having to ask everyone to install an additional mod (we already ask people who are entirely new to NWN for quite a bit), with the potential for causing new individual issues that we would be unable to offer much help with. Perhaps once it is more developed and has more features?
