Problems with fresh installs

In the last 2 months Iv done at least four fresh installs that was only for playing on potm and each install was attempt to solve various crashing issues or glitches

Now I have several that I cant seem get to work with fresh install

One) Export character feature. I like check on modules what my current pcs are capable of . Since my last install Iv no longer had capability to export as using the feature causes the game to either
hang or crash

two) I cannot use the main launcher for nwn on the task bar. Says its not in the install directory . So I always have nagivate to the folder and launch from the exe to start the game up.

three) Since the last two installs with the new hak updates I cant stay in the ooc room for more then 60 seconds before game crashes or stops working

now..would it be possible to remove certain haks from the override folder that could deal with any of these issues?

If your wondering about install method, fresh install off cd (platinum edition) and then using the potm installer that places all the haks and custom content in for you.

uh, you shouldn't be putting haks in the override folder

I dont put haks in the override. the installs do that. the auto installer for this server.

Iv had the developer have me remove the folder at times also just so I could stay in game long enough get out ooc room otherwise it spam crash

Wrong lingo. Its the over rides in the over ride folder. Not haks. Just replace the word

Well I don't really understand why you'd reinstall the game that many times, but if you didn't completely uninstall it before reinstalling it, there will be issues resulting from Windows detecting conflicting files and/or registry keys.

Oh I have angry house mate that uninstalls my games at times-

I would recommend password-protecting your computer, then. It's likely you're getting crashes based on other things done to your computer.
