The problem is they overwrite existing resources. This isn't an insurmountable problem, and in fact many of the new weapons in the new update we just released were initially set to overwrite existing resources and I spent days renaming models to make them non-overwriting. But that was a royal pain in the ass and I don't want to do it again unless it's necessary.

Sorry, that's hardly enough to convince me that all that pain-in-the-neck model renaming is worth the work.

It depends on how Issig made these. Shurikens normally only have 1 model and 1 inventory icon, so assuming he just straight replaced the shurikens with the throwing daggers it wouldn't be too much.

But you also have to make sure you're also not overwriting the CEP models/inventory icons as well. There's also a limit to the number of appearances/colors a particular weapon can have, and I don't know how many free slots for shurikens are left (although I highly doubt the CEP has taken up all of them).

eh, they're more like a cross between a throwing spear and an arrow, but the damage would be close

And there are a lot more domains that would utilize thrown daggers instead, like the ones we have in game. I'll buy you a six pack of beer to do the conversion. Seriously.

Edit: Ok, keep the shuriken and get rid of those dumb lawn darts.

I believe, this hak contains just the head above. You have to use a body tailor ig to see it, since toolset does not show head between specific level ranges and the one above is elf head 220

I agree that the throwing knives would make amazing replacements for the throwing darts.
If it's possible to switch out the model or weapons at least, have them swap places?

Honestly, I highly doubt anyone is going to miss the terrible throwing dart arrowhead model.

I wouldnt, even the other ones do not look all that great from the ones iv seen and used.

Also wish daggers were more of appropriate size v-v 90% of the time they look like short swords. . .

Look, we're not going to implement anything that overwrites existing resources as-is unless there's extenuating circumstances, such as with heads and their limited number of slots viewable in the toolset/character creation. We can consider renaming the models/icons but that really is a pain and we're only going to do that if it's worth the effort.

Also, we JUST released a crapload of new content yesterday. We're not going to update the hak for a while now. We're all beat from working on it for the last month and a half. Give us a breather before you start asking for more stuff, okay?

 Darts a cross between a arrow and a spear? Wouldnt that be a javelin?  To me the darts look like throwing knives. I have certantly r.p.ed them as such. They do throwing knife damage and have a apperant size that is right. They seem to be crafted largely from the same weightless metal that the coinage is.  Can't we all play make beleive and call them throwing knives like my characters do?

Darts are missile weapons, designed to fly such that a sharp, often weighted point will strike first. They can be distinguished from javelins by fletching (i.e., feathers on the tail) and a shaft that is shorter and/or more flexible, and from arrows by the fact that they are not of the right length to use with a normal bow.

Soren would never use someone else's scripts for something like that. I can't imagine that they'd mesh with our existing systems too well anyway.
