Despite his time in the guard he is known for being a kind man by barovian standards and is generally well liked by those who know him. He has earned the nickname "The Friendly Grey Lion of Immol" on account of his large mane of grey hair he has.

NPC Location: Immol
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): A tall Barovian man with dark hair and green eyes. Runs the Savulescu Trade House near the Hazlani border, a small trading house of marginal success. As the oldest son he inherited this from his father Martin and has managed to maintain enough coin to keep his family in minimal comfort. A hard working man with a great love for his family but detests having to deal with the rare traveling Mulan though he is known for having a great "customer service face and attitude" when dealing with them publicly.

Quote
Name: Eliza Savulescu

NPC Location: Immol
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): A portly Barovian woman who enjoys keeping her hair in pretty braids. With her husband Gheorghe she had two children, the oldest being the 23 year old Violeta. Lochlann Ó Corcáin

Quote
Name: Ceat Ó Corcáin
Relation to PC: Father (Raised Lochlann)
NPC Location: Deceased (Stoned to death, remains burned to ash)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Ceat was a softer man that acted as a young Lochlann's father. Becoming Lochlann's father was a scarring struggle for Ceat because he did not sire Lochlann. This fact lead to Ceat and his wife becoming ridiculed for their behavior. Nevertheless they were tolerated in town and Ceat had made a living working as a Cloudberry farmer in Linde. Ceat was dragged out of his own home when the Church of Belenus' inquisition found his daughter to be guilty of Witchcraft. At this point; the inquisition decided to go after the entire family to rid the taint of the fey upon the Ó Corcáin family.

Quote
Name: Mairéad Ó Corcáin
Relation to PC: Mother
NPC Location: Deceased (Stoned to death, remains burned to ash)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Mairéad was a free spirit of a wife who like Ceat would be cursed with shame. Mairéad had an affair with a Vistani man that was short lived but would carry her through out the rest of her life by the slander of her fellow villagers, and by Lochlann whose true father was the Vistani visitor. Mairéad was said to be a kind but airheaded woman who was easily amused and excited by the wonders of the world around her. Mairéad was killed after the Inquisition of Belenus dragged her and her husband Ceat out of their home, stoned them to death and burned their remains.

Quote
Name: 'Ratka'
Relation to PC: Father (Biological)
NPC Location: Nomadic; Corvara tribe Location unknown
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Little is known of Ratka beyond his first name. The biological father of Lochlann truly is an enigma that none of the family except Mairéad ever met. Though Mairéad has described him fondly; she never talked too much about him as to not upset Ceat or continue the rumors regarding her family. Ratka is perhaps the only known relative of Lochlann still alive out there.

Quote
Name: Ionait Ó Corcáin
Relation to PC: Older Half-Sister
NPC Location: Deceased (Hands removed, Burned at the stake)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Ionait was Lochlann's older sister whom like her mother was a free spirit that did as she pleased. This nature of hers would find her trouble however when she made contact with fey of the forests. They taught her witchcraft and she kept it a secret from everyone including her family until one day she got impatient while working in the Cloudberry fields and used magic to try and repair something thinking no one was watching. Unbeknownst to her, the neighbors son was watching and reported her to the inquisition. When the inquisition arrived they found everything: spell books, spell components, and arcane literature. It was all burned and destroyed and Ionait was put to the stake and burned alive. Ionait was the kindest of Lochlann's siblings when it came towards Lochlann. Ionait never minded that they didn't share a father and saw him as family regardless.

Quote
Name: Maolcholm Ó Corcáin
Relation to PC: Younger Half-Brother
NPC Location: Deceased (Murdered by angry villagers)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Maolcholm was Lochlann's younger half-brother and the two got along, but often times Lochlann was kept at arms length and even sometimes bullied by his brother outright for being different from the others. Maolcholm was incredibly close to Ionait though and would often do his best to be a 'good brother' and protect his sister from the 'horrible nasty fey' of the forest. Maolcholm never lived up to that though, and instead died trying to protect his sister from the inquisitions raid on the home. Maolcholm bought time for Ionait to try and escape but these attempts were futile. Angry villagers demanding immediate justice killed Maolcholm and his brother Malachi in protest of them defending their sister.

Quote
Name: Malachi Ó Corcáin
Relation to PC: Youngest Half-Brother
NPC Location: Deceased (Murdered by angry villagers)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Malachi was the youngest of the Ó Corcáin family and was very close to his older brother Maolcholm. Malachi was never too close to Ionait or Lochlann; and yet nonetheless he stood by Maolcholm's side even into death as rampaging villagers tore them to pieces with farming utensils. Malachi was a young man who looked forward to participating in his labors on the farm.

Quote

Name: Henri Valcourt
Relation to PC: Grandfather, very old
NPC Location: Henri Valcourt's Estate, Mordent
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Henri Valcourt largely keeps to himself and a quiet life in Mordent so much so that many commonly think he is dead.  He recently gave an ultimatum to Godwin Valcourt's branch of the family to do something with the Valcourt name other than wasting away the fortune or be disowned.

Name: Godwin Valcourt
Relation to PC: Father, age 53
NPC Location: Port-a-Lucine
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Godwin is a schmoozer and a greaseball of a Mordentish man, eager to do what benefits him.  While he does care about his children, he has a tendency to be shortsighted and selfish with his aims and take things which give him instant gratification.  He quite loves parties and any exquisite and exclusive outings, and is eager to spend money—sometimes money he does not have.

Name: Bernadette Valcourt
Relation to PC: Mother, dead
NPC Location: Valcourt family mausoleum, Mordent
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): A strict, albeit caring, wife and mother, Bernadette died when Cornelius was ten.  Cornelius remembers little about Bernadette beyond her tendency to hold him at too high of a standard.  After her death, Godwin never remarried and he seemed changed for the worse.

There are numerous other children that Godwin has had before the death of his wife, left undefined for now.

House Périgord
PC: Joséphine Périgord

Louis the 8th Périgord
Relationship - Grandfather and Seigneur of House Périgord
Location - Port d'Elhour
Description: The Patriarch is an old man and has gotten more stubborn in his old age. He does leave the day to day running of the house and family to his son and heir, Louis, though he does hold final say on important family matters. He is almost never seen without his cane which contains the symbol of the house carved into its wooden frame. Compared to his son who prefers inventions, the Seigneur is known for his spiritual devotion to the Loa, and close to Aimee Delaroux. This has earned him the moniker of Louis the Pious.

Louis Périgord
Relationship - Father
Location - Port d'Elhour
Description: While Louis is the patriarch, it is the younger Louis who handles the actual business of the house. Hervé possesses a keen mind and savvy business sense. It was his decision to invest in more trade with the western core, realizing that the recent troubles might provide a boon for the house as a way to enrich the family and to a degree Souragne. Monique Périgord
Relationship - mother

It was this intelligence that first attracted Josephine’s father to her.

Jean-François Périgord
Relationship - Uncle
Location - When not sailing the seas or on business trips abroad, like the rest of the family he resides in Port d'Elhour
Description: The second son of Louis the Pious, Jean-Francois did not have the same pressure to be the Seigneur like his brother. He thus tends to command the various family ships.

Louis Périgord

Aimée Delaroux
Relationship - Mentor and spiritual advisor to the Périgord Family
Location - Port d'Elhour

It is her duty to help ensure that the family lives in harmony with the countless Loa, particularly their ancestor loa. Katayama Yasutsugi

Immediate Family
Spoiler: show

Quote
Name: Katayama Yoshiaki
Relation to PC: Grandfather (Father's side)
NPC Location: Deceased (Death by harakiri?)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Yoshiaki was the previous head of house hold in Clan Katayama. A successful Samurai who had survived many a campaign; he had plenty of children but his eldest son Mutsohito would be the one to inherit the family affairs. Yoshiaki died under mysterious circumstances. The body of Yoshiaki was never recovered but according to Mutsohito who was with him at his final battle; he committed harakiri during a failed defense of a castle.

Quote
Name: Katayama Shiori
Relation to PC: Grandmother (Father's side)
NPC Location: Deceased (Died of natural causes)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): The death of Yoshiaki was a difficult pill for Shiori to swallow. Some say that women suffer the most from Rokushima Taiyoo's civil war as they must continue their lives without their husbands and sons. Mutsohito saw her cared for but did very little himself assigning various servants to keep her busy. Shiori was an artist of great skill and enjoyed crafting tranquil pieces that contrasted the brutality of the civil war. Shiori would pass on her knowledge to her daughter in law Tatsuki and she died peacefully of natural causes.

Quote
Name: Katayama Mutsohito
Relation to PC: Father
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo (Deceased; Harakiri after losing a duel to Katayama Yasutsugi)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Mutsohito is the current head of Clan Katayama. Unlike most other folk of Rokushima Taiyoo, Mutsohito never had enough and always wanted move. Ambitions and a sense of self entitlement would drive Mutoshito towards less than honorable places. Mutsohito was known for his drink, his women, and his swordsman ship. Despite all things, Mutsohito was an excellent swordsman and soldier; having not lost a single duel in his life... yet. When Yoshiaki had perished it was Mutsohito that gave the news to the family. When it did happen many questions arises which included: 'Where is his body?', 'Why didn't Mutsohito join his father in harakiri?', 'How did Mutsohito survive if Yoshiaki a more experienced samurai saw inevitable defeat?'. No one knows, and few are brave enough to bring up the nerve to ask such questions. For Mutsohito everything was a pawn in his grand game of chess. When Yoshiaki did perish though, Mutsohito took no time to mourn. An action that would be seen as dishonorable towards not only elder but his own parent. Instead Mutsohito was enthusiastic and delighted to be operating the day to day needs of his new title as head of household. In addition to his warfare, Mutsohito would despite himself show to be a capable manager. While Clan Katayama owns no land, Mutsohito manages and trades iron mined from one of the daimyo's many mines. With the job given to him by the Daimyo and his role as samurai; Mutsohito seeks elevation and he will make any sacrifice necessary to do so.

Quote
Name: Katayama Tatsuki
Relation to PC: Mother; Wife of Katayama Mutsohito
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Hate. Hate was not a good enough word to describe how much she loathed Katayama Mutsohito. Tatsuki was married off to Katayama Mutsohito as a means of creating an alliance between hers and his clan. These sorts of arranged marriages though do not always work out, and this one was incredibly tough on Tatsuki. Mutsohito was in his private life a drunk, a womanizer, and a cruel man with casual disregard for the life of others. Tatsuki has and would endure for the sake of her family both her original clan and her children. Perhaps the only good thing that Mutsohito gave Tatsuki was her vast amount of children. As any good mother would; she loved them despite hating their father. This love kept her going and drove her well, but when Shotaro their eldest son perished in battle; it struck a huge blow to Tatsuki. The reality of the civil war sank in and it frightened Tatsuki. One day while out to market Tatsuki noticed some men speaking to some oddly dressed foreigners. These sailing foreigners had stopped by after getting lost on the sea. This inspired Tatsuki to speak to Mutsohito about the manner suggesting that the foreigners have interesting weapons and unusual ways that could be utilized to work against the Shujins enemies. Tatsuki suggested that they send some of their family abroad to learn of these foreign lands and possible bring back a cache of equipment so that he could perhaps become elevated. Much to Tatsuki's surprise, Mutsohito  agreed and would enact her plan; though he would not send all of their children off. It was a bitter but welcomed sigh of relief that her younger children would be sent abroad. Today, Tatsuki continue to keep a brave face and watch in horror as her other children head off into gruesome warfare.

Quote
Name: Katayama Shotaro
Relation to PC: Eldest Brother
NPC Location: Deceased (Perished in battle)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Shotaro was the first son of Tatsuki and Mutsohito. Shotaro was said to have been a man with a very good heart; despite who his father was. Honored by other clans, and even some foes would respect his skill on the battlefield. It really seemed that Shotaro would be the paragon of the Katayama family. Many often saw their family as less of a family but more as a institution; but for Shotaro his family was his family there was love in how he treated everyone in it. Shotaro's death was a devastating blow to the family that all but Mutsohito never really seemed to recover from.

Quote
Name: Katayama Gonshiro
Relation to PC: Second eldest brother
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo (Deceased; murdered.)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Gonshiro is the second eldest in the Katayama family and currently the next in line to inherit the family in the event of Mutsohito's death. Gonshiro was always a quiet and curious child. When it was time for him to take the mantle of samurai and undergo the training necessary he did what he had to. Though battle and warfare would not interest him. Instead Gonshiro was most interested in the natural world around him and had interests to study it. Often times Gonshiro can be found in the family gardens very curiously observing plant life. When Mutsohito decided to send the younger children abroad he was very disappointed he was not selected for such an interesting and educational venture.

Quote
Name: Katayama Tadatsuke
Relation to PC: Third eldest brother
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo (Deceased; Slain by Katayama Yasutsugi)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Unlike his brother Gonshiro, Tadatsuke lived and loved battle. When his father first had him hold a sword, he felt for the first time in his life truly alive. Known for his swift brutality and quick willingness to enact Kiri Sute Gomen on any of lower class than him. It was to the fear of onlookers that even if Mutsohito fell there would still be a little Mutsohito running about. It's been (quietly) said that Tadatsuke would perhaps be even worse than Mutsohito. Tadatsuke was neither interested in art, or sciences and instead his interest would be in war. Towards his younger siblings he was strict and condescending. Constantly pushing them his sense of superiority; wanting them to do better not for their benefit but to his own. With the ongoing civil war, perhaps it was lucky for Tadatsuke to be born during this gruesome conflict. There is only one issue: Gonshiro is the next in line for the seat of 'head of household' and Tadatsuke very firmly believes Gonshiro is too weak to lead, and that his father a 'drunken animal' is already very ill fit to lead.

Quote
Name: Katayama Tetsuyuki
Relation to PC: Fourth Eldest Brother
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Tetsuyuki was perhaps the most pathetic of the old siblings. Bearing no great artisan skills, or even fighting prowess. It would seem that Tetsuyuki would inherit all the worst traits of his father Mutsohito. Often seen drinking and womanizing; and on the battle field he was a pathetic mess. Rumors would suggest that he used peasant ashigaru units as human shields, or that he would spend most of his time running and hiding while his brothers did all the heavy lifting. There is one thing Tetsuyuki was good at however and that was talking. The man's outgoing socialite behavior would lend itself to his diplomatic skills; making it much to the family's surprise that he is actually their best diplomat. Of the three remaining older siblings, Tadatsuke bullies Tetsuyuki the most. This bullying however had slowly developed into a working relationship between Tetsuyuki and Tadatsuke. The two of them have always been known to scheme and plot together.

Extended Family - Lineage of Katayama Tokimasa
Spoiler: show

Quote
Name: Katayama Tokimasa
Relation to PC: Uncle (Father's Brother)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Tokimasa is the second of Yoshiaki's sons. Tokimasa was always small even by Rokuman standards but despite this he was a fierce samurai warrior who enjoyed confronting opponents larger than himself. Tokimasa's stubby legs however would prove to be his down fall. It is said that Tokimasa had made dishonorable and crass remarks about the wife of a fellow samurai from a different clan. This samurai challenged Tokimasa to a duel and humiliated him, but he was not entirely dishonored for this loss. Tokimasa was crippled terribly in his leg effectively ending his career as a Samurai. This event 'ruined' Tokimasa as he began to enjoy a life of leisure no longer being required to fight. Tokimasa gained an tremendous amount of weight and required a cane to move about. Despite many finding him repulsive he was fortunate enough that Clan Tanji had hit financial woes and many of it's sons had fallen. In exchange for some financial aid, Clan Tanji had offered their exceptionally beautiful daughter Tanji Chiho to be married to Tokimasa. Chiho finds Tokimasa to be absolutely repulsive but nevertheless has birthed several sons for the fat little samurai. In Addition to Chiho, Tokimasa has taken on a few concubines desperate for a means out of poverty. Tokimasa enjoys educating his sons on the art of warfare that he can no longer engage in while stuffing his mouth with food all throughout the day.

Quote
Name: Katayama Chiho
Relation to PC: Aunt (Uncle Tokimasa's Wife)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): The tragedy of Katayama Chiho begins with her once very prestigious family. The Tanji had been around for a very long time; but were always stagnant. Chiho had three brothers, and her father fell in battle when she was a girl. Under their grandfather's guidance they attempted to make a gambit in battle against the south eastern island. This attempt to establish a foothold in one of the islands villages under the veil of night ended gruesomely in the death of her brothers: Yasotaro, Masutaro, and Yugoro. This blunder would not only leave the Tanji family deprived of sons but their coffers have been througly emptied as well. In a desparate bid to maintain livlihood of the elderly father in law; Tanji Chiho was married off to Katayama Tokimasa. Chiho was known throughout Eikoku as one of the most if not the most beautiful woman in the entire great village of Eikoku. Chiho never handled the fall from grace well; the most beautiful woman perhaps in the whole of Rokushima-Taiyoo was now betrothed to a man who may be considered the most repulsive of all Eikoku. Chiho would unfortunately provide Tokimasa with several children; however some of the children are not Tokimasa's. From time to time Chiho would 'escape' into romances with servants and peasants who caught her eye. For a moment she would escape Tokimasa; but she would be left with her lover's children. A cruel reminder of a life she could have had. No one in the Katayama family is aware that some of Tokimasa's children are illegitimate.

Quote
Name: Katayama Yunosuke
Relation to PC: Cousin (Eldest Son of Tokimasa)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Katayama Yunosuke grew up the first child between Tokimasa and Chiho. Cherished and spoiled by his father; Yunosuke grew up hearing countless tales of his father Tokimasa's exploits in warfare (Most if not all of these stories are lies, Mutsohito's exploits, or have some less than flattering details removed). The young boy grew up entitled, and under the false belief his father was a great and noble Samurai. This entitlement had been seen since Yunosuke was a small boy and was often dismissed as 'cute' or 'being a little prince'. What manifested from this spoiled rotten upbringing was one of the most ignorant and commanding Samurai to have walked the islands. Even as a grown man he is babied by his father and is prone to dramatic out bursts. Servants fear working for him because they know he has a pension to enact Kiri Sute Gomen at a moments notice and for the most trivial of offenses. Yunosuke is naturally quietly despised by his mother and by those around her. It is said that many wish to plot against him but are also too afraid to act.

Quote
Name: Katayama Taira
Relation to PC: Cousin (Eldest Daughter of Tokimasa)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Taira is the second child of Tokimasa and Chiho. Neglected by her father, and mostly disregarded by her mother. Taira was treated as little more than an object and burden for the Katayama family on Tokimasa's side. Taira become quiet and reserved, becoming an observer rather than a participant. Taira is a small and beautiful girl but has no really interest in her appearance as her vain mother does. The melodramatic nature of her spoiled brother had made her feel even smaller than she already did. Fearful he would harm her, and generally feeling helpless. Taira found difficulty in expressing herself through spoken word and would take to writing poetry. At first she kept her works hidden not wanting her family to know how she really felt. Chiho would try and teach her how to be a 'lady' though it mostly disinterested her. Taira wishes to be free, to escape the dreadful world that she was born into that feels more like a prison than anything else; her father the warden and her brother the rabid hound preventing her from being who she wants to be. Despite the grimness of it all she remains hopeful that she will be married away one day and never have to see her parents again.

Extended Family - Lineage of Katayama Keiko
Spoiler: show

Quote
Name: Katayama Keiko
Relation to PC: Aunt (Father's Sister)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Katayama Keiko was Yoshiaki's favorite daughter. It was said in her youth she was an astounding beauty with a voice like silk and warm demeanor. Keiko loved life and life seemed to love Keiko; but even love can become so twisted and corrupted by passion and desire. Daughters were typically bargaining chips used by their fathers to forge alliances with other houses. Keiko however stood out from other women of the bushi caste. Suitors had lined up to aggressively make their bid to marry Keiko. Many samurai were eager to win her hand, but most eager of all was no Samurai but a servant. Hiruma Keisuke had worked with under Yoshiaki for many years. Day in and day out he saw all sorts of lewd, and brutish Samurai try to take the hands of gentle and angelic Keiko. It was true, he loved her and he would do anything to have her. It is said that Keisuke starved himself and saved up money to find a blade so that he may challenge all of her suitors and earn Yoshiaki's blessing. Much to the surprise of all, Keisuke challenged these men to duels only to meet them with decisive victories. Yoshiaki saw Keisuke's skill and in a very rare turn of events he allowed the servant to wed his daughter; provided she approved of such a thing. Keiko had, as she too was smitten with the workers valiant efforts. Keisuke was allowed to hold the name 'Katayama' and marry Keiko. They lived happily for a couple of years and had many children together. This happiness would not last too long though as Keisuke fell in battle alongside Mutsohito's son Shotaru. This shook Keiko but also drove her as she took up the role of an Onna-musha to train her sons for combat as she would not see them denied the role of Samurai. Keiko would become both beautiful princess and warrior; though she will never understand what made Keisuke such a great warrior.

Quote
Name: Katayama 'Hiruma' Keisuke
Relation to PC: Uncle (Husband of Katayama Keiko)
NPC Location: Deceased (Slain in battle)
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Keisuke grew up in an impoverished and abusive family. An uncaring mother, and drunk father; it would seem that Keisuke had drawn the shortest of straws in life and that nothing would ever get better. Keisuke never gave up so easily though and instead saw that he could rise above his meager and pitiful roots. As a man Keisuke would be accepted for a job working as a servant for Clan Katayama. A luxurious position that kept him well fed and in better condition than the other serfs. The best part of the job though? Keisuke was able to see her. Keisuke fell madly in love with Katayama Keiko the moment he saw her. It absolutely tormented and devastated Keisuke at his core to understand that he could not have her. Despite this Keisuke was content with the distance he was cursed with; and was more than willing to simply serve Keiko in all of her needs. That was until the hordes of suitors came in droves; whispering lewd thoughts of Keiko and the mouthwatering lure of Clan Katayama wealth. This infuriated Keisuke which lead him to seeking out the advice of wise elders whom he was told lived in hermitage just behind a great forest. Keisuke travelled into the forest only to become lost. The serf found himself in a dark and twisted part of the wood that howled with the ghastly sounds of lamenting specters. So much wandering lead him to a quiet that was broken by the singing of a beautiful maiden. When he found the source it turned out to be a horrible wretched monster, a twisted aberrant parody of a woman who wielded terrible power. The creature asked Keisuke what he was doing and he told the Yama-uba everything. The monster saw this as an opportunity offering him great power to win his love in exchange for his soul. The fiend warned that as a result of signing this deal that Keisuke's taint would pass on to his children. Keisuke didn't care and struck the deal before passing out. Keisuke would awaken back at the village of Eikoku and wasted no time fighting for his love. Secretly using dark powers to make himself stronger while unseen Keisuke devestated the competition and eventually slew all of Keiko's suitors one by one in a duel. Yoshiaki was astounded at this and allowed him to not only be granted the Katayama name but also to marry his daughter Keiko if she so chose. Fortunately for Keisuke, Keiko had felt the same for the once serf. Keisuke had many children with Keiko and they were happy for a brief amount of time; but because Keisuke cheated his way through life he never gained the skills necessary to truly survive. Keisuke fell in battle when his powers would not aid him. A grand funereal was held for him and he died with the legacy of a great warrior but only he ever knew the truth. Now his soul is the plaything of a wicked creature with terrible designs.

Quote
Name: Katayama Yunosuke
Relation to PC: Cousin (Eldest son of Katayama Keiko)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Yunosuke is the eldest son of Keiko and Keisuke. Yunosuke remembers his father well and has been eager to to follow in his foot steps the loss of his father however hurt him greatly. When his mother started taking over training for him Yunosuke began noticing he was able to wield foul mahou. Terrified by his own innate powers he has kept this black magic to himself and has refused to use it. As a result he refuses to mention these powers to his own mother. Since the discovery of his innate dark powers he has not ever used them.

Quote
Name: Katayama Heikichi
Relation to PC: Cousin (Son of Katayama Keiko)
NPC Location: Village of Eikoku Rokushima-Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Heikichi is the second son of Katayama Keiko and is known for his eager and optimistic nature. As of now he has currently seem to have inherited no powers and very happily praises his fathers great legacy. Unlike his father he is a truly talented warrior known for his expertise with a katana. Heikichi and Yunosuke are very close brothers practically attached at the hip.

Illegitimate Family & Concubines
Spoiler: show

Quote
Name: Kôzuke Maru
Relation to PC: Father's Concubine
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): Kôzuke Maru or as she prefer to be called 'Lady Maru' is a woman who is perhaps as horrible as Mutsohito himself. It is rare that men choose their wives but their concubines are almost always chosen. Maru was Mutsohito's first love, and she shares his ambitious desires for greater power and wealth. It has been rumored that Maru is not just the concubine of Mutsohito but also a shibobi or yakuza. These accusations have in the past earned the ire of Mutsohito himself and often result in his very liberal practice of Kiri Sute Gomen. Very few dare speak out about Lady Maru and her very suspicious nature. The family despises Maru the most out of Mutsohito's three concubines.

Quote
Name: Takashima Madoka
Relation to PC: Father's Concubine
NPC Location: Rokushima Taiyoo
Describe the NPC (less than 100 words): From Courtesan to concubine, Madoka was a highly successful Geisha as well before meeting Katayama Mutsohito. It is said that her performance art was something to be greatly admired. Not only does she take on the role of concubine in the family, but Madoka has utilized her skills as a professional hostess. Managing the family's social engagements and parties. Despite Madoka's great artistic skill, and ability to host events she is ultimately unremarkable and content to serve her purpose to the family.

His height, stern expression, and penchant for remaining as armored as respectfully possible while in Dementlieu make him an intimidating presence at first, though in reality he is a gentle man- unless provoked. He deeply loves his children, and although he does not blame Valérie for his wife's death, he cannot help but worry deeply as she grows more and more detached. He fears losing her much in the same way.

While not extraordinarily outgoing, Rosaline was a happy, fun-loving woman in life, despite the sorrow of her childhood that clung to her. While he does not share his father's enthusiasm for the military practices, he can appreciate swordsmanship as an art form. He is much more like his mother when it comes to hobbies, favoring creative writing above all else. The circumstances of his mother's death were initially hidden, though he soon found out after eavesdropping on family members. He mourns Rosaline to this day, but still loves his sister.

Quote
NPC Name: Denisot de Renault (Original post here)
Relation to PC: Uncle
NPC Location: de Renault estate, Lyonnias

Describe the NPC: Younger brother of the Baron de Lyonnias. An enigma, even amongst his insular family. Denisot did not, as so many second sons do, seek out his own glories and titles through service in the Gendarmerie. Instead the man has remained at his brother's side his many years, continuing as a bachelor indefinitely and seeming only to serve at the Baron's beck and call.

He raised Marcel himself after his parents were found dead on their vacation in the Dementlieuse countryside.  He is the closest thing to a father figure that the young Marcel had during his formative years.  Denisot was reluctant to let Marcel join the Gendarmerie Nationale in Port-a-Lucine, though eventually relented and allowed him to do so.

Describe the NPC: Before her death, Amélie was a beautiful young woman, the doting wife of Claude and loving mother of Léa Moreau, she was well known in Ouvrier as a bright, helpful woman, often teaching the young children of the Ouvrier to read. She was a quiet activist for the peoples rights enthusiastic about the Reforms passed and repealed sometime ago. While not as known, or as notable as many others in the Workers Unions, she was none the less active and influential.

NPC Location: Cimetière des Âmes-Sereines, Port-á-Lucine

Describe the NPC: Before her death, Léa was the bubbly ray of sunshine adored in her bustling urban neighborhood.  She enjoyed drawing, dancing and creating flower chains with which she would adorn the neighborhood dogs feral or not (Also willing or not). All but obsessed with her fathers creations, loving a specific wind up gendarme toy most of all. He however would consider her his greatest creation, doting upon her with lavish attention and affection.

She was killed in a reported Bandit attack while immigrating to a border Village.

Clover Finmarcheur

Quote
NPC Name: Audrey Finmarcheur
Relation to PC: Mother
NPC Location: Port-á-Lucine, Ouvier

Describe the NPC: Audrey was an average commoner woman- Married young, hardworking, calloused hands, but still having a fair-maiden face of dotted freckles and unusually harsh-ginger hair. While their father continued to do hard labor at the docks and warehouses of the Lucine, she did her best to care for and teach Clover whatever she could. With their wages unable to give him proper schooling, he'd grow up mostly home-taught basic writing skills at an amateur level, at least proving him capable enough to read and write on his own. By the time Clover was sixteen, her husband and Clover's father passed away due to a workplace incident, a mixture of his own ill body due to the poor conditions of the Ouvier, and warehouse troubles. Heartbroken, she found comfort in religion, becoming a devout believer in Hala and choosing to devote both her and her son's time to the local hospices. While Clover was taken away from the Mists at eighteen, his mother still labors and works, unknowing if her son is well.

While aware of her son's differing potential, she never fully understood it.

NPC Name: Gael-laurent Finmarcheu (Deceased)
Relation to PC: Father
NPC Location: Port-á-Lucine, Ouvier

Describe the NPC: Brown hair, fair complexion, tall, lanky, but still fairly healthy for his station, Gael-laurent Finmarcheur was an honest man to his core. He paid his dues, he worked his warehouse and docking job, and never complained a single bit about it. He knew things were unfair- But he never was one to break the one piece of stability they had, his wages feeding his family and keeping them off the direct streets. Things were rough, but they could've been worse had he not been working. In a long strew of overworking, he fell ill and still returned to his work. He passed shortly afterward, his physical form unable to keep up. He was buried without note.

Family Relations to Madeleine Voland

Baron Pascal Voland VI of Yvoire (age 49)
The current Baron Voland is a calm, shrewd man of measured words, traditional in his ways, and reserved affection. He stands tall, about six feet, with dark raven hair (streaks of grey, as of late), green eyes, and a somber demeanor. Many say he used to be a much more jovial man, but since the the death of his wife, it is rare to see joy in the man's reflection.

He is known, like his predecessors, for his sound and fair business practices, but travels often, taking an excessively involved hand in the running of his business affairs, rather then allowing others to go in his place. He is devout to the church of Ezra, although his actions seem to be mere tradition, rather then true faith.

Baroness Evelyne Voland (Deceased at age 31)
Evelyne Voland, formerly Evelyne Brodeur, came from a House of noble standing herself. A woman of meager stature, Fair skin, bright, clear blue eyes, waved curls of rich auburn locks, marked her as a great beauty.

An accomplished singer and artist, it was not unusual for her to sing in grand performances, with high praise from her peers. Her engagement to Baron Voland was arranged early in her life. They are said to have been close since childhood, a friendship that blossomed into love when they were old enough to marry. Tragically, the Baroness was stricken with illness a mere six years into the marriage. The exact details are unclear, only that she succumbed to death in her sleep, peacefully.

Pascal Voland VI, future Baron of Yvoire (Age 25)
A tall, handsome, charismatic young man, Pascal the Seventh holds much promise in his youth. He favors his father strongly in height and appearance, save for bright blue eyes, given to him by his deceased mother. His demeanor is kind, and serious. He is well-spoken, and has the rare gift of making people feel instantly at ease. He is very comfortable in all social circles.

While he has been said to have briefly courted a lady of standing occasionally, he seems dedicated intently to focusing his attentions on learning the family business practice, as one day it will depend on him entirely. He was a mere nine years old when his mother passed.

Madeleine Voland (Age 21) (PC)

She is said to have grown up with delicate health, and as such, suffered to be confined to home and bed with her tutors and governess frequently.

A slender, whisp of a girl, of diminutive height, she holds all of the beauty of her late mother, perhaps more, but the similarities cease there. Those who have met her speak of a shy, socially bashful woman, with a tendency to stutter when speaking. Certainly not the well-spoken, angelic voiced performer that her mother was.

All the same, she is kind and graceful, and represents her family well.

HOUSE DE CHAURET
Camélia de Chauret

LIVING
Spoiler: show
Quote
NPC Name: Guthelaque de Chauret
Relation to PC: Father
NPC Location: Manoir de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

Brother of the Baron de Roquefeuil, Marciel. Guthelaque maintains a strained, but most often pleasant relationship with his daughter; his typical loudness, and her lack of clear emotion tending to put one other off. Nonetheless, he is endlessly supportive of her academic endeavors, as long as she finds a proper husband along the way. At times he will take great care to adjust his vocal tone, for her benefit.
His hair, once dark, is a striking silver brought on by stress and middle age. Much like his brother, he bears a sharp face and an expression of grim severity -- however, the angularity of his features has been reduced by his sheer weight. He tends to forgo the fashion trends of Richemuloise nobility and dresses eccentrically with bright colors and striking patterns. His voice is booming and powerful like gunfire, and so he tends towards bombastic vocabulary to complement such.

Quote
NPC Name: Lisseta de Chauret
Relation to PC: Mother
NPC Location: Manoir de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

Despite clearly resembling her father in visage, it is Camélia’s overt mimicry of Lisetta’s disposition that is more often noted. They share a loving, if wordless, mother-daughter relationship, with Lisetta coddling her daughter constantly. Twenty-one years of clinging to her mother’s side did nothing to foster an outgoing daughter, instead leaving her with an anxious attachment, and tendency to stay silent.
To those who have managed to catch a glimpse of her, she looks almost identical to her sister Lemoura, except for the fact that her hair is stark white and pulled into a tight bun. Her dresses are of the same antiquity yet tend towards black and other drab colors. As for her voice, it is nonexistent -- she is a mute, no better than a pretty doll propped up in the background of an otherwise dour scene. Particular rumormongers claim that she is an honest-to-goodness ghost.

Quote
NPC Name: Marciel de Chauret, Baron de Roquefeuil
Relation to PC: Uncle
NPC Location: Manoir de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

Camélia’s dear uncle. Their relationship is wonderful, with a mutual understanding of one another’s emotiveness, or lack thereof. They do not tend to spend much time with one another, with the Barony’s need for constant attention, though their familial adoration remains.
A dark-haired man with one clean streak of silver denoting middle age; his features are angular, often cold in countenance, and it has been said that he lacks the capability to smile entirely. He follows the ever-shifting fashion trends of Richemuloise nobility and dresses in dark, muted colors. His voice is sharp and clear like a knife cutting through to the ears, and his words tend to reflect these very qualities.

Quote
NPC Name: Lemoura de Chauret
Relation to PC: Aunt
NPC Location: Manoir de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

Lemoura shares a similar relationship with Camélia as her husband. Pleasant, familial, yet one lacking time spent with one another. She attempts to dote over her niece as Lisseta does, though perhaps not as incessantly.
Her hair is a shining platinum blonde, almost stark white, and it cascades freely down her back with the faintest of grey strands. Whereas her husband's features are sharp, hers are soft and inspire a sense of innate trust; she is the warmth to his frigidity. The dresses she wears are always at least five to ten years out-of-date and boast bright or pastel colors. Her voice is quiet and sweeter than honey, and she speaks almost too nicely to whomever she deigns to. She is the sister of Lisseta.

DEAD
Spoiler: show
Quote
NPC Name: Gregoire de Chauret ✟
Relation to PC: Grandfather
NPC Location: Cimetière de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

The old patriarch of the family; he who started it all, kicking off the house's death-spiral into their hated reputation and later obscurity. He died just five years after the family fled from Dementlieu in 746 on accusations of necromantic dabbling. His tomb in the family cemetery is dilapidated and abandoned, exemplary of the family's eagerness to escape the dark shadow he cast over their legacy.

Quote
NPC Name: Audette de Chauret ✟
Relation to PC: Grandmother
NPC Location: Cimetière de Chauret - Roquefeuil - Richemulot

Whereas Gregoire was vilified, Audette was essentially made into a martyr-like figure for the family, regarded by her children and their children as the most faithful wife of all wives. It is widely held by the surviving members of the family that she was murdered by Gregoire in their own bed for condemning his proclivities -- leading Gregoire to die of a broken heart that very night.

House Passeleau

PC Name : Diane Passeleau
__

NPC Name :  Serge Passeleau II
Relation to PC : Father (Alive)
NPC Location : Azure Bay near Aquitaine

Describe the NPC : This man is a 61 year old, handsome muscular scruffy looking for a noble. He has spent his whole life in the business of his family. He also looks like he is out at sea a majority of his time as well. It seems to be getting more and more these past days. This used to have thick black hair but it is graying in some areas. Despite his older features, he is still strong.

His personality is strange at the best of times.  His first love and life is of his business, then family and then workers, then his wealth.  This love for his work took him to great heights but it also made him very frugal and money conscious.  Always looking at the books, counting his ships and engaging in social affairs.

__

NPC Name : Florence Passeleau
Relation to PC : Mother (Alive)
NPC Location : Azure Bay near Aquitaine

Describe the PC : This woman seems to be cold and thoughtful. She is quite but some say she is the true brains behind the business. Though those cold black eyes seemed to be unmerciful. It is clear that her eyes were passed on to her daughter.  It is said that Florence was married in from the Bellerose line. A long time ago. She married the man with the bright blue eyes and scruffy look. And she did it apprehensively.

Their marriage was likely not of love and more of adequate business.

__

NPC Name : Henri Passeleau
Relation to PC : Brother (Alive)
NPC Location : Port-au-Lucine

Describe the NPC : He is thirty years old and slated to inherit the Passeleau business. But he is completely  uninterested in it. He seems more interested in making sure that his sister, Diane is well taken care of. He knows that his sister has run on hard times in her time in Port, everytime she goes. So he has taken himself from their home in Azure Bay to the Port with her. And there, he resides for the time being.

Like his father, he has ice blue eyes and black hair. His features are impeccable of a Passeleau. That same ruddy look of being out at sea for too long and the wild hair to go along with it. He is tall as well.

__

NPC Name : Ines Passeleau
Relation to PC : Sister (Alive)
NPC Location : Azure Bay near Aquitaine

Describe the PC : This is the youngest Passeleau child, being at 17 years old, she is just come into her adulthood. Strangely enough, she has bright red hair and black eyes. The red hair did raise some eyebrows but her father seemed to shrug it off. This young lady seems to be quite interested in the faith of Ezra and abides by it daily. She has a happy demeanor and likes to frolic in the fields of their estate with her bare feet. Everyone shrugs at this, as it is quite normal behavior for her.

__

NPC Name : Oscar Passeleau
Relation to PC : Possible son (Alive)
NPC Location : Azure Bay near Aquitaine

Describe the NPC : This child is four years old. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Some say it is the new son of the Baron, but those within the estate will know the truth of it. He is rumored bastard son of Diane and Jerome de la Salle, Chevalier de Seimarie. Jerome de la Salle died April 17th, 773. The child was born supposedly out of wedlock but as a child of love. Some say this is why she was gone for the past five years.

This child is often seen with a little toy sword in hand, fighting with his grandfather in the courtyard.
