NPC Name: Guy Boucher
Relation to PC: Father
Location of NPC: Chateaufaux
Description of NPC:
Guy Boucher is the boisterous, big bellied, hairy, burly father of Jacques. Despite standing at an impressive six feet-three inches, his supreme friendliness and joviality makes him more akin to Santa Claus than anything approaching imposing. He is the owner and proprietor of a small bakery on the outskirts of Chateaufaux, passed down from his father, and he is very proud of this small accomplishment achieved by his family. Alongside his wife, who he loves dearly, Guy has managed to keep his family in relative comfort, firmly placing them within the lower-middle class of the city. The rising price of grain has impacted his livelihood significantly, as he refuses to significantly raise his prices to accommodate this change. This, in concert with perhaps a bit excessive amount of charity to those in need (he is quite keen to give a free baguette to struggling persons), as made his family increasingly reliant on their son for relief, who supplements their income by sending home a portion of his weekly wage. Though he comes from humble beginnings, he and his wife raised Jacques to be a well-mannered, educated man. This, in turn, has placed some faint tension between the two, as Guy finds his son a bit pretentious and uptight in contrast to his direct and easygoing disposition. Nevertheless, the two cherish each other, and Guy writes Jacques frequently, inquiring on his well-being and current happenings, as well as playfully pestering him to find a wife and carry on the family line.
