House ZhuelkeChapter IA Dream to a ReverieStartling;
I sat up, my head a din & quake.
Blinking, hot. Membranous. Distant.
There was movement in the mists. Just beyond my peripherals.
Yet I could feel it.. hear it.. vibrations, seeming. A profound energy in the otherwise ethereal fugue.
Spires rose about me, the earth trembled.
From the room.My father was having guests over. Dignitaries: By name, I knew well whom they represented.
My father rubbed his hands together, in quivering anticipation, his eyes were stark, and mad.
He basically drooled at his mouth, though never moist; he fought in vain to wet those arid lips.
Smacking, smacking..
"

He motioned. "When

The guests were starting to arrive.
I shrank in his grasps.

"Your blood runs deep, and dark... you are my daughter, my true heir...
we are the last of the true bloodlines...
These lesser lines have served us well over their lives, yet still we need remonstrate the sovereign majesty in our blood."
Grinning.
"What is truth?"
A voice form the hall."Sire."
My father turned... his hands slunk from me like limp vipers.
He turned his head to once again address me. He clasped his hands together and smiled diplomatically as he strode backwards a few steps, imparting such words:
"My heart, my flower... he beamed with pride,
My
Lazula...
He turned on his heel, his robes sweeping the corner as he passed
-redacted- .
I heard a click at the window.
Startling;
I sat up, my head a din & quake.
Blinking, hot. Membranous. Distant...
She dreamed of him...
