smelting and herbalism improvement idea
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:22:08 AM »
am seeing somebody smelt and wel i did the craft aswell.

we can all agree it is a slow process.

i was thinking due to the load and many use the other smelter as a docking station for the masses amount of ores.
why not add an option to melt 1,5,10,20,all    instead of 1 or all?

same can be said for herbalism couldran and probably some other crafts aswell.

Dutchy actually with herbalism you can allready make several potions at the same time.
So you can actually craft the potions in en masse.
With smelting you can do that as well. (I have done smelting together place 10 copper ore inside, the forge, and you either succeed and get 10 ingots or none at all:)
With carpentry though it is not like that, you have to saw through each and every chunk of wood, and do templates each separatly.
Same with smithing, there you make items one at a time.
So i think forging is okay, smithing, woodworking and carpentry need that what you mention.

Smelting should be more like leather boiling = check per item imo.

smeltin is in a couldron you SHOULD be able to chooce how much you put in, i admid its a bit for the lazy side of life  but that way you arnt flooding the area with person XXXX takes something  200 times in a row, and you still get xp instead of 1 or all or the endless  *puts 5 in waits*

ercvadasz-

youre right i forgot about that.

i only have knowledge about smithing and herbalism   so no clue about the other crafts.

you can but there are 2 smelters in lets say the dwarf city.

when teams mine and craft 1 smelter is storage the other is for the actual smelting.

its nitpicking i know but having the option means you dont have to take out the ore from the smelter that functions as storage into the smelter used for smelting.
