Hey,
Given that Ravenloft has quite a bit of stuff you need to download in order to play it I would like to suggest the creation of a Ravenloft downloader which automatically downloads the required files need for Ravenloft. Another server I play on recently implemented this and its quite useful as the Devs only need to update it occassionlly and all players need to do is click check for updates. What do others think?

I've actually been meaning to do that for a year now.

I'm sometimes a little lazy.

Anyway, I should be pretty free the next weekend and nothing in work that put me on overtime so maybe I'll get to codin'.

Well, if you wanna do one I can drop my project.

A few features that I think should be in: Update functionality so people don't have redownload a ton of stuff they already have, portrait uploader and downloader, overrides and music files also need to be downloadedable I think, and it'd be useful there was both Linux and Windows versions since with modern tools there's really no extra code included.

What I did some weeks ago looked like this: (Notice the totally unfinished GUI!)

It's mostly done, would just require some quick tests and the portrait uploader/downloader.

This is a great idea. I would really like to have some of the overrides but I'm not overly computer savy and hence I don't monkey with my computer to much. If this could all be done with one application it would be a huge help.

yes, it allowes for downloading the music pack.

it downloads the package xml's from my site which allows me to on the fly add new content like portraits ect.

Well, I can see to porting it if you can send the codes - good job!

Also I could put up a portrait uploading backend.
