Registry cleaning program

so i have AVG anti virus and maleware protection, and it has a feature to check your registry for errors. it found something like 330 errors, and is prompting me to pay 40 dollars to use thier service. a friend of mine says there are some good registry clean programs that are free, and i was wondering if anyone has advice on which i should get?

CCleaner is free, and it does registry repairs. 

Just google CCleaner and it should pop up

i use a combination of solutions.

First i run the 14 days trial of Malwarebytes, making sure to uninstall it afterwards.

Then i install Spybot Search & Destroy making sure to imunize the system and scan it.

I forget, does CCleaner fix broken shortcuts as well?

Not sure. I just run the registry check, then click Fix All. Plus, never had a broken shortcut, so if it does, I prolly wouldn't have noticed

DL'd this and used this, was very good. Registry errors, broken shortcuts, temporary files, all sorts. Noticeably smoother running.
