NWN on Linux - tricks and advice

Thought I'd make a general thread for Linux users to give advice and inquire about running NWN. I could later sum up points given by editing this post to have all in one place.

So I got a first inquiry. In the mist camp and in places like Port-a-Lucine (outdoors in the city), my mouse lags a bit like I'm dragging it around (playable, just slightly annoying). I think it has something to do with the mist effect. I don't remember having this on Windows. Does anyone know about this?
