Words carry on hushed voices that through the night, something sinister took place near the Southern Gate of Vallaki...

Those within earshot make note of a distant call for help, before the harrowing silence returned to the district...

[An almost ongoing commotion continued under the cover of night, the streets echoing with various concerning sounds of fire, shouting, hissing and screetches from creatures that could not possibly be mistaken for human. Upon the coming of the dawn, the rays of morning light would shine upon the door to the Midnight Rose, revealing to all deep gashes in the once well-kept wood of the otherwise neat and tidy storefront. Blood stains the cobble road only several steps away from the lounge.]

[Perhaps to the surprise of some, the Midnight Rose still shows sighs of quiet activity even in the midst of all this strife. While not actively serving, people have seen a familiar dark haired elven woman receiving a small shipment of crates, some speculate to be furniture, and a warm glow from the windows and beneath the newly installed door at night. Everyone who walks close enough can get a whiff of a soft rose scent.]

There is no hiding that Emily Wilksin, Scribe of Jergal, is seen running in a panic between pile of evicted material from the Warehouse 1 and the Mortuary in the Docks district. With each trek between the two buildings she is seen carrying stacks upon stacks of books. Occasionally she may drop some of the books, and in a frantic manner she gathers herself and her books and continues the mad dash between the districts. This goes on for an entire day, as she looks more and more frayed between each run with ink and dirt and wind swept hair creating a frizzled and unkempt look to her.

A short, yet enormously stout young knight with red hair, armored in green, stepped out into the bleary barovian morning sunlight out of Frida's Eatery, as one of the last customers to leave before closing. Holding a heaping fresh armful of sweet-smelling strawberry rolls and a pie or two stacking almost above his head. Seemingly taking the entire kitchen with him. His gait was merry and gay. His smile as wide as a child's.

The winter morning did not seem so cold and dull as he passed by in the street with a spring in his step. Indeed. Spring is just around the corner.

The green-tabarded knight returns to the threshold of Frida's Eatery, the building's windows cool, vacant, and unlit during the dark Friday evening. Heavy rain comes pouring down relentlessly throughout the night and the man's shoulders slump into a severe depression as he eventually turns away defeated. Belly rumbling. The rain masks whether the rivulets water glistening on his face was his own or the sky's.

Throughout the day, the faint sounds of hammering and objects being moved can be heard coming from within the Christ's Church in Warehouse Two.

Word begins to circulate of two loud blast noises that echoed throughout the east end of Vallaki overnight, seeming to originate from somewhere within the warehouse district. Despite the sounds of explosions, there would appear to be nothing out of the ordinary, if investigated. However, a small amount of locals awake in the very early morning would report seeing a person patrolling the city streets only hours later. The person in question was seen walking repeatedly between the east and west gate along the city's main road. Their facial features were masked by a full helmet they wore. They would also be identified as having worn tanned brown robes, pieces of leather armor, and a crimson scarf around their neck. Those familiar with the descriptions of pistols would be made aware that the stranger held one in each hand as they marched on. They persisted ceaselessly before disappearing just as the majority of the city's denizens began to start their day.
