Questions about Enchanting

I would like to know what items can or cannot be enchanted. I heard that some player crafted items are glitched through the enchanting system, but I am not sure.
Shields
Boots
Helms

I know that these can be enchanted
Bows
Weapons
Armor

Can someone explain this over.

I think shields, helms and boots can be enchanted but there's only one way to know for sure ;)
