Swimming ban in the vistani lake?
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:06:43 AM »
It's no longer possible to go into the shallow water of the lake, I just thought it odd that it was randomly changed is all. Purposeful or..?

It was because of the new safety code added in the last update.  You could not swim because you had eaten with in the last hour.

That sounds about right.

Basically Blue,

The Pond/Lake by the Vistani Starter Camp you had the ability to go into it. Now I think they are saying that they can't walk into it anymore.. there was shallow water that allowed walking.

It's supposed to freeze over in the winter, apparently. I think that's neat, actually. Who'd want to go for a swim in below-freezing temperatures?

I did once. 'Twas most fun - but we had access to rather instant heat afterwards...

That is, but its spring or summerish and not useable.

For it to be able to freeze over, it would have to be non-enterable all around the year, I'm afraid. But it also always bothered me a bit the way AI just went straight through it like it was just open ground.

I always just imagined that the minks were swimming across, and the deer had long enough legs to be able to walk
