I would be for the establishment of villas like what Tarokka had on the Italian Ravenloft server. It would be rather useful as both a gold sink and as a way for non-supported factions to get their own place to hang-out even though they don't have amazing amounts of swag.

Though I think making it per year is too long. Better to have it need to be renewed on a monthly basis like the Tenements, but have it require a much more sizable amount of money (100,000 gp or so).

The villas were rent for prices going from 500k to 2 million according to the size, the rent lasted 1 year though, and it was almost impossible for just ONE character to rent it alone. It would create a self-fashioned faction base. With a tweaking of the price according to our own economy and making it for weeks or months, it would be very nice.
