My point is, by removing Thick Chitin from a mid-high level area and keeping it solely in a low-level area, it's only pushing us higher level people into lowbie zones to obtain these items, which I don't like. Forcing us to go to the same cave over and over again because it is the only place I have seen outside of the rare Hook horror spawn in hole by Midway only hinders lower level characters in both crafting supplies and also the spawn there. Which is why I liked the scorpions having Thick chitin, especially since Huge scorpions were fairly rare (averaging about 5 on a full trip around the few spawns I've found outside), it gave us another option to find these materials.
Now, on the topic of Scorpions being too easy to kill. I wholly agree, they are bloody pathetic. Personally, I find them being so weak a complete throw-off of what Har'Akir actually is. I would honestly like to see them bumped up a little bit. Their damage and AB are fine, but their HP and AC is pathetic and they die long before they can actually do any damage. If making them tougher would bring back the Thick chitin, I would certainly love that. Making each one about 2-3 CR higher would certainly fit how tough The Sands are supposed to be, if not higher.
