Revealing the XP gain just makes it easier to number crunch the best gain. The thing is it's the minority that do it, the rest of us are either too lazy or just don't care all that much or are just too focused on the RP to even notice it. For the latter it matters not whether the XP gain is revealed or not cause we aren't going to be bothered by it either way.
