Bearing the Pain ~ The Ribbons of Lily Ominak.
« on: October 16, 2010, 03:01:07 AM »

The Cormyrian rain was unmerciful and yet as she walked down the long road Lily Ominak did not shiver. Though she had traveled a great distance her back remained straight and her countenance remained a gentle calm. While her armored boots were hard upon her feet her steps did not falter and even as the wind snapped her cloak to the side sharply in an effort to stagger stride she pressed on without pause. Her way was set, and no simple hardship would lend her to slow in her course, as it was Lily's way to endure. The red ribbons about her wrists a testament to her faith in Ilmater it was likely that it would take a great deal more to sway the Painbearer upon the road than simple foul weather.

As she made her way eastwards along the Dragon's Way intent on reaching Suzail her mind was far from the struggle of her simple travel but focused on the reason that she had been called. It was not often that such a summons and that it would be sent in a time of such great need bespoke of grave importance. While she did not wish to presume she hoped that perhaps her vested interest in the order of the Companions of Noble Heart had been well received. It seemed like there was much need for comfort in the lands she called home, and yet, often more a need for those that would rise up and strike out against those that actively brought strife to the people. She would be one of those, if her petition was accepted. It was on these matters that her mind dwelt as the wind calmed, the rain a soft pitter patter against her breastplate. A mist snaked its way from a small copse of trees, enveloping the road in a thick shroud. Despite the dark her stride remained purposeful and into it she marched onwards, ever persevering against the turmoil of the road.
