Application for Dungeon Master

Prisoners of The Mist is looking to add more qualified and enthusiastic Dungeon Masters to our team. Becoming a Dungeon Master gives you the chance to express your creativity to the fullest. We are looking for storytellers, rational thinkers, fair minds, team players and problem solvers.

Please be aware we will expect you to write a plot at some point if you apply. This plot might be asked for during the interview to prove your storytelling capabilities.

Requirements

  You must be willing and able to commit at least 10 hours a week to the module.  Any DM spending less time then that wil be placed on inactive status.

  You must be willing to enforce the rules agreed upon by the POTM team and you must be willing to abide by the decisions of the POTM team.

  No prior DM experience is required, but if you have none, you must atleast have been an active roleplayer, either online or PnP.

  You must review and agree to the POTM rules posted on these forums

  Most Importantly, applicants must agree to treat all players and members of the POTM staff with respect, temperance and due deference at all times.  This includes not swearing at staff or players and using respectful communication.

Interview 

Qualified applicants will be extended an interview with member of the DM team.  At this time, we will ask applicants more in depth questions concerning their philosophies on DM'ing.

While the tools and wands being used there are not the ones we use, the module nevertheless provides you with some very basic DMing skills. Aside from that the module can also give you a first impression of what DMing in NWN feels like. Thus if you plan to apply, best play the module priorly and afterwards you can judge it for yourself if you liked it or not.

For all those that got accepted for apprentice DMing, please also play through this module before we start your training. Especially if you had never DMed before on NWN. It will ease the process of progression during the training a lot!
