Kenrath Davi, Blackguard of Set.
« on: June 20, 2010, 07:38:25 AM »
Down in the catacombs of the Morninglordians, the Blade of Davi had dispatched yet another undead foe.  At his feet laid a Champion of Carmac, it's huge axe on the dusty floor.  The sword giving to him by his mistress Isu was indeed a powerfull weapon, gone was the dark bladed Greatsword. In his hands the blade named the Angel arm.  Isu told him the blade was a bane to the undead, and after slaying most of the upper catacombs above, and the champion below. Davi was confident that the tale was true, and began to make his way back to the surface. From there he would travel north with Isu, Lomion and the Warrior Alex.

Here the party made they way to a tower nestled in the snowy peaks, Inside was filled with creatures and treasures.  The blessed blades of Davi and Alex cut through the ranks of creatures, along with the magics of Lomion.  The wizard and Davi had started off shakily when they both worked with Yves, that was before she had changed and lost her power.  Now the wizard had grown powerfull and competent, under the influence of Isu.  They soon had made their way to the top of the tower.  During the battle, Davi triggered one of the many traps that laid inside the tower.  He found himself alone in a room with no visible exit, with a huge bloated sphere shape like creature with tentacles and a singular eye. Davi fought like a man possessed, finding a gap in it's defences. Davi slid the angel arm into the beasts eye, it howled in agony before dropping to the floor.  searching the room for what felt like an age, He had found his way out of the room, using the same portal as before.  Quickly finding his way back to the party, he joined in the mass battle that had commenced in a huge room.
Blessed blades with magical flames, hissed, as they struck down the Fallen ones. One by one the Followers of Set dispatched all their quarry.  And soon the spoils would be shared, it was here that Lomion and Davi went off alone.  It would be the finall time the four of them would be together as friends.

Davi had grown in power, he was able to summon fiends to do his bidding, the power given to him by Isu.  Many times these creatures battled side by side with Davi, and many times they battled alongside the Wizard Lomion.

Davi towered over the quivering wreck before him, the man slumped to the ground.  He had come across this fool wandering the outskirts in the middle of the night, from there Davi took him to secluded cave.  Once inside, Davi used his powers to Summon forth a Ghast.  A feat which appeared to strike fear into his lastest plaything.  How mighty and powerfull he felt at this moment, the moment was fleeting however.
"Come to me" A female voice spoke to Davi, he broke his unnerving gaze and glanced behind.  He stared at the back of the cave, a pool of water rippled as droplets of water dropped from stalagmites.  The speaker was not visible, turning angrily to the man before him, thinking he had played some trickery upon his mind.  The voice came again, accompanied with a vision.

Soaring high in the sky, below him wooded hills sprawled out. Suddenly he descended, gaining momentum he flew down into a narrow gulley. He stopped abruptly at a wooden trapdoor set into the ground.

Shaking his head, clearing his thoughts. The man at his feet still knelt in servitude, although the ghast had gone. Maybe the vision had broken the hold over the undead, Davi was unsure.  He commanded the man to be his eyes and ears of the Outskirts, since he could no longer dwell there.  Davi had broken out of jail a few months earlier, and needed someone to watch where he could not.  Leaving his lackey behind, the Warrior made his way east.

After a few hours march, Davi had found the trapdoor. It was here he came across Lomion, and a strange group of people.  Drawn on the floor was a strange pentagram, the leader of the group was a female vampire witch.  Lomion informed the Warrior that the group had to retrieve some items and return to the witch, to aid in a ritual.  The group butchered a family living in a farmstead outside the city, they kept a single child alive, dragging into the city into the Morninglord's domain.  It was here Davi fought back the Cultists and the angry mob outside, while Lomion and some others offered the child upon the altar, desecrating the scared altar.  The last task completed they found themselves once before the witch again.  They laid down all the components, and began the ritual.  After hours of standing around the symbol, listening to the witch chant.  Mist started to crawl along the floor, slowly rising to create a Armoured humanoid shape.  The witch cried out as the shape took form.."Lord Soth.."

They would be her final words, as the armoured man rushed her his weapon killing her quickly.  Others in the group cried out, Davi did not know this man in front of him, but he was impressed.  The Man soon vanished, in a cloud of mist.  Davi never saw Lord Soth again, but he heard many times, tales of hero's dying at his blade. And his haterd for the elves, was unmatched.

One day Davi was close to the Vistani camp, when an arrow bounced off his thick plate.  A voice ordered him to stop, the voice of the infamous Julia Colds.  Looking around he slowed his march, unable to see the archer.  He was not sure if she was alone, and quickly dismissed the idea of fighting his way out.  First he would see how many foes he had to fight, he could handle the cells again, if it came to that.  The dark clad beauty strode forward, and threw a coil of rope at his feet.  Shortly he was been lead to the cells, Julia chuckled informing him that Lomion had betrayed him.  Davi trembled with rage, his rage was replaced with shock.  How could he after all the times that fought side by side, his mind going back to the second time they meet. When Davi had tried to impose his might upon the wizard, was this payback. It was something he never found out.  Julia dragged the Warrior back into the cells, where he was left to rot.

Sat alone in the cell, Davi could only think of revenge. He would make the wizards death slow and painfull.  Days passed, days turned into weeks.  Davi's mind began to play tricks on him, he dreamt that the guards had let him go.  Until one night the screams of dying guards rang out in his ears, Isu had come for her Warrior.  Shortly she was stood at his cell, using a key from a dead guard to release him. Grabbing a sword the unarmoured Davi fought alongside Isu, magic crackled all around him as they battled their way out.  Without warning a unit of Vallaki's finest rushed the Warrior, Davi fought in vain.  Before he fell, he saw Isu disappear in a blink of an eye.

When he awoke, Davi was tightly bound to a wooden stake. All around his feet kindling laid, he knew the end was nigh. Looking around, news had spread quickly a large group had come to watch.  As the flamebearer walked closer, Davi fought against his bindings.  The flames soon started to lick at his feet, pain soared up his legs and the flames grew.  The fire spread quickly and Davi spoke his last living words.  "Hope Lord Soth smites you all."
