Exalted Lysaga Witches / Warlocks and Supreme Warlocks.

I ran into a pack of these, recently, got to see what they are capable of.  I'm assumming they are high ranking clerics, I'm fairly certain at least a few of them cast Destruction (8th level spell) and a number of them summoned elementals (7th or so level spells).  So I'm guessing they are at least level 15 or so clerics. 

The loot though... what they had was pretty pitiful.  The most valuable item money wise was a pair of travellers boots.  Considering the power, and comparing them to the roughly equivalent level NPCs in a few other places, the challenge seems kind of overbearing for what you get out of it. 

Not that I expect every monster to drop a fortune and fantastic items.  But a supreme Lysaga warlock should surely have something more interesting than a fashionable cloak and a scroll of grease.

I personally feel the level of risk vs. reward is great, here.  And that's not just my universal desire to thwart Lockleed coming out

Thou lies, and the universally thwarting continues.  Its only got one chest and a hag down there, best thing I ever saw were high level scrolls in that place.  I expect more out of a 15th+ level cleric!

... what level is Marle, btw?  I expect more if I loot her!

...so a greater spell mantle or shapechange is not worth the trouble?!  I'd rather not say what wonderful things I've found there other than scrolls, iin only the chest and the hag drop.  Wait until the entire lower dungeon is Goristro and Glabrezus, you'll see what I'm talking about!

I have seen inertial barrier down there... also level 9 and 8 scrolls, so its worth it, I love the danger of the place now... it was a joke for anyone above level 10 before

Risk vs Reward.. Try the Consumed Demonologists... Chain casting of Time Stop and other nasties

The Warlocks and witches used to have some rarer gems on them, which for RP they might use in their demonic rituals et cetera.  I find the Callers in Darkness that spawn at night to be much more deadly, and less rewarding though- other than the Callers in Darkness this is a dungeon you can charge into expecting a reward but you can likewise expect a very swift death even when prepared.

I have tried the consumed demonologists!  Balance is good on them, as you tend to randomly find some neat odds and ends on them, and thats excluding the actual dungeons chests.  The warlocks and witches of Lysaga, not so much. 

The only useful thing I've found on the Lysaga warlock / witches was a +5 vorpal dagger of Heretical Ezrite slaying.  But I found that so ridiculously, annoyingly specific that I tossed it.
