Not sure what Heretic ment by Old windows install, anyways, its a new computer, its ever only been one installation of windows on it.

And I'm allready administrator, didnt help either.

Your running windows 7, which bit, 32 or 64? Im running 64 and have had a few issues with certain games (allthough not nwn), I have two programme files folders in C drive, one called C:/Programme Files X86, and one just called Programme files. A few games isntalled to X68 wont run, so if thats the case ininstall it and install it to an entirly new folder.

Edit:

Apparently the X84 folder is for use for 32 bit programmes, 64 bit progs should install to the default programme files folder automaticly. Which catagory games fall into is beyond me though.

How I defeated Windows 7 and triumphed

1. Find the driver listings for your graphic card. In my case, the set previous to 10.2 which is 10.1
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/previous/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx
2. download the previous set of drivers to your pc
3. right click on desktop, select screen resolution
4. go to advanced settings in that window
5. select the properties button next to your adapter type (video card)

6. select driver from the tab, select uninstall at the bottom
You are now without video drivers. Your resolution will default to ugliness.

7. install the previous set of drivers that you downloaded
it'll probably prompt you to reset before it takes effect, but do so in any case

10.2 catalyst drivers for radeons suck.

Well my mom is coming over to try and get me back in game. She might jump in here to ask some questions.

Nonna had a problem when she reinstalled NWN on her Windows 7 computer.  Apparently, she solved the problem by logging in as the administrator on her computer.  It seems to have worked.

Have tried to reset driver to 10.1 but the Microsoft driver seems to be the only one it will accept. Have also done the admn and compatibility changes. Any help will be much appreciated.

I was just wondering something, could my computer being a quad core have anything to do with my problems?

Its doubtfull a quad core computer will most likely make your game choppy but shouldnt stop it from running. That being said I am running a quad core and have never had any issues with framerates.

I've got a 6 core and was very surprised that I didn't even have to click in compability mode to get my nwn to work. Got latest version of 64 bit Ultimate Windows 7.

Windows 7 rules! You should all make sure to either update windows or make sure you've got the latest graphic drivers / your fancy new cards are compatible with nwn.
