Entering the game - is it take so long time?

Hello folks,

I'm new on your module, but i must confess that i am really impressed, congratulations for your great and dedicated work.

However, I have a doubt: I did my character and after that I walked to the mist. A kind of movie appears where my character was walking in a dark forest, holding his lantern. Slowly, the mists starts to cover my character, and... nothing happens!!!

I cannot walk, turn... nothing. Some minutes have passed and until now I could not reach the land of the mists. What do i a have to do?!

That's a bug that has been occuring after the reset. A DM should be able to help you out in-game.

As mentioned, yes, known bug. It normally takes 3 -5 minutes I think to get through the video.

So, I have to wait? Only that? Wait 5 or 10 minutes and I will be in the game?

On this problem, I cant contact any Dungeon Master. The only thing that I can do is ALT+F4 and close the game...

what you need to do is post a message in the generic requests thread that your character is in the starting area, and that you have the bug when you enter via the opening movie.  Give the character name, and they'll port you into the game.

Usually how I fix that is I just alt F4, or ctrl alt del, my way out of NWN and open up the same character again, You'll miss the intro video, but..that's it the character should be saved at the starting area.
