I took a stroll through the area on my cleric to see what sort of loot was added, noticed that the lock pick DCs on a lot of the chests varied from 48-53. Which is a bit extreme considering each container only had about 200g in it and some lock picks. A few 2-3 level scrolls too. I'll take a screen shot of it next time I swing by there.

Maybe if the loot could be bumped up a bit gold-wise, or the DCs could be lowered a bit, would better balance it. That'd be my suggestion.

It was a bit on the oh my god im a level 10 rouge and still cant bleeden open it! side.

Eh..my lvl 15 sorc/blackguard can reach 55 DC with locks...*cracks his fingers*

And this is a balance issue too. Not funny in the least.

But.... for argument sake, my level 8 Rogue can open up to DC 41 locks and disable DC 36 . so by the time the smuggler's den is worth a try, she will probably be able to fill her role.

Yeah, rogues still have a big part as a class around here, but with some right feats and points used...you can make good lock pikcer from...hm..almost ANY class.
