Wow, pretty awesome overrides, after getting a few of these I've brought my totals up to 2gb of portraits and about 300mb of overrides... I won't be able to take a good look at them until tomorrow, though, I'm really looking forward to seeing what's in that portrait pack.

Here's a link to a thread on another forum which has a lot of different overrides, some of them are the same as what we have here but there's a few I recommend getting, like the goblins (even though there's hardly any goblins here), and the imps/mephits, the weapon VFX is pretty awesome, too, but the acid one is bugged and shows up as lightning, so you'll need to delete the acid override (I may be wrong).

Also, here is a pretty awesome one, it's for going into 1st person view and looking up. I primarily use it for looking up, occasionally I will go into 1st person view if I'm an archer. If you're going into 1st person view, press the * key on your number pad to go into driving camera view, that way when you turn (using WASD) your camera will also turn with you.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

I have some Baldures Gate (1 and 2) sounds which override the default sounds for the nwn spells. Anyone know a good file hosting site and i'll upload them.

##Final Edit, here is the correct link to the overide version (previously I had found the hak version)##

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=994

This is an overide set which alters the default neverwinter nights spell icons to the classic Baldures Gate 2 (and Throne of Bhaal) icons instead. Odviously this will overide the colourised spell icons. I use this myself, no problems with it. Please note the screenshot shows also an alterd 'border' (the GUI), this isnt inluded in the overdies it is just specificly the spell icons.

Alas, they do not work in PoTM, it must be something to do with one of the required haks  :(, which makes me very sad because they are nice looking. However being overides they will work in single player and most of the other modules up and running.

A file in the override brakes the 1.69 horses riding feat. I think its the spells.2da. Should probably avoid this from now on, unless you really dont ever want to ride a horse module permiting.

I survived the Blue Water Inn Massacre and all I got was this t-shirt.

For those of you not satisfied with the current werewolf models, give this one a shot. it wasn't working in 2.2 for some reason, but since the update/new haks it seems to be working!

this override will change only the monsters labeled "Werewolf" in game with this skin, the loup guru will maintain their separate appearances

ALSO! Werewolf Monstrous player characters, this skin will change that of your characters hybrid form

Does anyone know of the override that allows you to unlock all the portaits already in game?

So.. for example the portrait Mad Dok in the Drain uses or other portraits that would be visible to all (without a .hak or override) and already in the NVN game, just not accessible for players unless you got some override or .hak to unlock them.
If anyone knows the name of that which I talk about or can toss a link, greatly appreciated!

Here you go. I believe that's what you're looking for, if not I'm sure it's there somewhere on the vault or someone else can point you in the right direction.

Just tested that myself, and it crashed when I tried to open portraits, on second thought, do not use it, or be prepared to delete the portraits.2da if you run into any problems.

Has this been posted yet? An Arelith update (thanks Winter83 for telling me) with updated textures, etc.

It just makes things look a bit better, although it might dip your performance so don't use it if your comp is slow.
Includes things like the colored spellicons, better textures for a ton of things and more slight visual upgrades.
(Still have to download and try it myself at this point, but it appears to be a very good graphical fix up.)

Quote
- The ground on many tilesets is a lot more bumpy, and I noticed a few things can get lost underneath it actually. There's also quite a few places where the walkmeshes are funky, and I shoot up on the z-axis, or can't select a walkable piece of ground that should be walkable. Its not a deal-breaker though.

-I usually like to play with "Never hide 2nd story tiles", but being in the forests with this override is impossible that way. There's just too much stuff in the way.

-There are quite a LOT of tile based objects that are different with the overrides. Meaning, trees that aren't actually there, giant ferns, etc. While this is visually great, you have to keep that in mind with your RP. Be careful with *Leans against the tree and rests*, theres a good chance nobody else sees it.

Do keep things like that in mind, the reason why I might choose to stick to the older settings actually.

Actually, that's just a compilation of overrides and not original work as I can see. Most of it is from chico400's NWNCQ that you can acquire here:

Thanks, I was looking for a "seperate version" of some things included.
This one offers the more original settings, with a slight graphical upgrade.. which is exactly what I wanted! Thanks.
(In short: No obstrusions or plants / hills / other changes that would possibly impact RP only clientside.. as in walking into a tree which is invisible to others)

And does anyone happen to know of an override or whatever that makes you adjust your UI elements' size?
(Scale your inventory, menu, bars or adjust them in some way.. because they appear as miniscule with my new bigass resolution laptop)

I don't know how I could play without these:

Natural Caves

Rural Trees

The trees can be slightly taxing on older systems though.

Everyone who isnt running NWN on an old rig should get the tree overrides, the southern outskirts are a thing of beauty while your using them, and that horrible endless expanse of nothing is vasstly improved at the edge of transitions.

Hello people, just wanted to note a thing.
Overrides and music are undownloadable on NWVault, I don't know why, it just opens a page full of gibberish text like it's some kind of code or something.
What should I do?

The Reforged override weapon pack is freaking amazing. It cleans up and puts a spit shine all all things metal :D

^--- These are amazing. If you don't have them.. get them!

Also Dev's please consider putting these into the hak files because they make a lot of the derpy old NWN files look AMAZING. I am inclined to actually use darts now because they actually look like darts!
