Stores - Shady Looking Guy not selling to assassins

I don't know if it's the right section where posting this. Anyway, I knew the guy sells ONLY to rogues, to rangers, to bards. I thought it was obvious he traded also with assassins, but he does not. Is it a bug or what?

wow - never thought about an Assassin that doesn't have levels in the above classes... possible to be sure, but never considered it.

Might account for the gap when the Devs coded him.

  Monk/assassins.  I was going to take thyrellia that route, until it turned out she had empathy, and I lost interest in the character.  Monk/assassin's aren't "shady" though.  If they were, they wouldn't be monks anymore.

He would be swamped with Customers if he dealt with assassins and would run out of material to sell.

Assassin are supposed to be subtle, hence why the shady guy isn't scripted to recognize them. If you go around yelling on roof top that you are a killer for hire, that person would be dead rather quickly.

Instead selling to thieves in a place where theft against Count properties is punished with death is a safer behaviour? Still not persuaded, sorry, I'd love a developer reply on this.

yeah, it changed when DnD moved from 2nd to 3rd ed.
