Systems - Morning and night: Praises!
« on: October 27, 2008, 06:24:39 PM »
I have to say i really like the new morning and light. I remember the first time we had those, i thought the whole forest was on fire.  But now it's very beautiful.

Hmm, could you elaborate a bit more on this? Not sure what you mean...

It looks like a red-gold sunrise/sunset all day.

The glow is nice in the morning but constantly goes on through the day, it's a bit blinding.

Yeah "sunrise" lasts pretty much all day, also seems to come up from every direction.  Still it's a nice visual.

Need it to Rise in the East, and Set in the West.  Not the other way around like Heretic announced the other day.  :D  I think a Longer span of time for Day Night Passage would improve the "immersion" and feel as well.

The sky is now an interesting shade of yellow lemon when the sun set. A bit odd..

Nay! I don't like the shades of orange, it doesn't do anything for the daytime mood, for me. It doesn't feel oppresive, its downright... sunny. :S!

This is, in fact, one of the things I like to emphasize about Ravenloft. The lands of Ravenloft are, for the most part, stunningly beautiful for the region they represent. Skies are crystal clear, rivers and lakes are clean, forests are green and lively, etc.

Too many people seem to get the impression that the lands of Ravenloft are grey and dreary and depressing.

Warning: Don't provoke the high-level Falkovnian wizard. He bites. (And not in the good way.)

How beautiful can a landscape be when it's littered with corpses! :P

How's the dawn/dusk light hue - is it orange or more yellowish green? And does the saturation seem too high, or is it just the hue needing to be changed? It's always a bit difficult for me testing these things, sense NWN doesn't allow changing time properly in game.

The sky is yellow throughout the day, a bright lime-like yellow. It's most apparent in the DM HQ where it makes the entire area a bright yellowish color. Then at 6pm, it suddenly turns dark for the night, there is no apparent transition.
