Potion/Spell - Disjunction
« on: October 09, 2008, 06:34:12 PM »
Anyone sure of how this spell works on this server, in terms of permanent removal of abilities, etc. I just got traded a potion and I don't feel like wasting it to test it out.

..If you can only use it on yourself, it's junk.

..Nah, you can use it on the ground and it drops the spell. Lucian got his hands on one, and used it to dispel Morags GS when she tried to run from him one time. Good fight.

I concur. In pen and paper terms, any single potions spell level can't exceed 3rd, save for the Artificer prestige class which can brew potions up to 6th level.

Disjunction is a wickedly powerful spell to be able to use by anyone, I mean, it sets the precedent for a single use meteor swarm amulet etc.

I think that the potion was implemented back when potions could only be used on oneself, making it a lot less..useful.

I've only seen one of those potions in the 2 2/3 or so years I've played here. I think the balance of the server is intact.  :D

I don't even think it's a drop.  I think those were from old quests/events, so they're definetely not going to be things you see being traded commonly.
