Revendall, a locked out wizard.
« on: August 15, 2008, 06:29:29 AM »
The wizards experiment in the abandon shack had gone terribly wrong. The whole shack flied in the sky and the wizard, named Revendall woke up in the debris of the shack. A man ran up to the house screaming

What the hell is going on!

But a odd thick mist from the iron pot that was in the area seemed to give away a mist. If it really came from the pot or of another cause was not known but suddenly Revendall was gone. He had some how left the bird cage as Sigil was called by some. The city of doors!

The rule of three Revendall thought, His shack had exploded, his beard turned greyish-white along with his hair falling off and he was taking into another realm. He wondered what enemy arcanist of his did this or if it was a backfire effect of his experiment. All he knew was at least that he knew was that he was not home anymore...A new center of all for the spellweaver named Revendall.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Revendall origins from the city of doors, Sigil where his parents moved after years of planar travel. His of average height, about 1.78 and weights around a 75-80 kilos. His hair was once brown and his hair reached a few decimeters down. But after the odd explosion and as he got plunged into Ravenloft his hair on his head fell off and his beard turned white. Making him look older then he is, at his age of 39 he has learnt some but yet is far from the real wizards. He have put down time to learn how to use more lethal weapons the normal wizard would.

Born in the city of doors he seen a few wonders and not so wonderful events and creatures. Aside the Barovian average citizen he is not afraid of spells nor odd planar creatures. Of course, this do not turn him into a man of no fears. Some may also believe that a large bash to his head by unidentified item have turned him a bit confused and dizzy. His memory is abit vague aswell.

OOC: Any lore being wrong I am open to change, commentaries are also welcome in PM and IC posts are welcome in the thread.

Talk of a man named Ravendall reaches Calor's elven ears.

"He says he's from Sigil"

"I wonder where that is"

Calor mentally files this information away and makes a note to seek out this man.  Maybe together they can find what Calor is looking for.

The wizard had stepped inside his new world. He had spoken to the natives, It seemed the night was a dangerous time and many evils held the domain tightly. There for the natives was scared, paranoid and not tolerating. A controversy aside Sigil with it's demons and what not else.

The angry prosecutor called Nocia, Revendell had a short conversation with. She was rather rude and short when it came to speaking with outlanders. As those others he spoke to warned him off. He had gone from being the average citizen to being a simple filth. He soon after stepped inside the inn. Knowing that he will have a hard time finding a door back home and to find it here would be hard since there was really no one that was open about finding a door back to Sigil or at least a bit more civilized plane, Faerun..Celestia...what else where magic was not frightful and of evil wicked creatures of the night.

At least he saw some kindness and he did not worry much. He had much more to see. His head still did hurt a bit even a few days after the odd explosion. He was keeping mostly for himself upstairs to try and sort out his thoughts and collect himself to focus on the challenges to come.

The wizard Revendall was trying to adjust. The bloody snow was not something he was used to and the harsh Barovian winter was soon upon the land. He muttered and mumbled. He did not yet know how to take the new home and he was clearly not accepted as an outlander, how disliked would he be if he showed he knew how to cast magic's and similar?

He did not worry to much. He saw it just as something to write down in books about this realm. Cause if one can enter it one can leave it. If not he so someone else one day will find a way. He was still interested to learn more and to study the new. Breaking apart others creation to see their build up. In this case he would have to learn all anew of a unfamiliar realm. He could not remember hearing of this realm anywhere in Sigil and wondered what backwater part of the "verse" this was.

He stood staring into the fire of the inn, he would look for a way home but he would also try to collect the thoughts and feelings, the culture and history. In a book for newcomers like him he thought. Put the mist in a jar perhaps....perhaps its magical? Was one of many things on his mind that evening by the fire, almost all alone in the lady's rest.

Ezra's way shall shape my day! *Revendall writes into his journal, entry, day unknown he writes and chuckles dryly noticing how "fun" his writting sound*
